Awesome IRON MAN 3 Concept Art Of Stealth, Deep Dive & Hypervelocity Armors

One of my favorite conceptual artists, Phil Saunders, has finally uploaded his outstanding concept art for Shane Black's box office hit, Iron Man 3 Hit the jump to check out designs for Tony Stark's Stealth, Deep Dive and Hypervelocity armors.

Phil Saunders is one of Marvel's most talented go-to-artist, having previously worked on Joss Whedon's The Avengers and the original Iron Man film, directed by Jon Favreau. If you'd like to see more of Phil Saunders' artwork, you can click here to visit his blog.

As for the artwork below, one of the interesting tidbits of info that Phil has passed along involving the initial concepts for Extremis soldiers.
"In early versions of the script Extremis was based on Nanotechnology like in the comic book, and would have constructed some sort of internal armor structure to grant the enhanced soldiers super-strength and near-invulnerability. thematically they would have been a reflection of Tony Stark, wearing their "suits" internally rather than externally. Makeup would have subtly suggested that structure by deforming their skin in a mechanical way. " - Phil Saunders

He also mentions that Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Jamie "The Kingslayer" Lannister from Game of Thrones, was considered for the role of Savin. So, much of artwork for Savin bears Nikolaj's likeness, not James Badge Dale's.

Marvel Studios’ “Iron Man 3″ pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

Iron Man 3 was directed by Shane Black, from a screenplay written by Drew Pearce. The film opened in theaters May 3, 2013. It stars: Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark), Gwyneth Paltrow (Virginia Potts), Don Cheadle (Col. James Rhodes), and Ben Kingsley as The Mandarin.

IM-3 was weakest Marvel Studios film but I still love the character.
The concept art is great.

Iron Man is badass when ya realize he has the money & knowledge to create armors to kick ass for every occasion.

The thing that pisses me off is the fact that he had all these Armors, and they all do different things, and we got basically no usage of them. All wasted on a big 3rd act fight scene.

Through out the movie I would've loved to see Stark be forced to use the Stealth suit, or have a reason to use the Under Water suit., etc...

I love how supposed fanboys like to crap on Iron Man 3 but can't stand the fact that it is 1000x better than Man of Steel. Amazing film.

My bigger complaint about Ironman 3 isn't even te Mandarin cuz I was okay with it, it was the fact that these beautifully designed suits were barely seen and used, they at most got a 5 sec spotlight. I wanted Tony to use the suits on certain missions and sequences that required a certain suit. If he was under water I wages to see the water whatever suit, or go somewhere super fast the hyper velocity suit, and needs so heavy lifting the igor. I don't believe they used his plethora of suits effective at all

A bunch of cool suits that served no purpose other than to look cool but functionally be generic as [frick] onscreen. Then they get ripped apart after 10 seconds of screen time.

What a waste.
