Deadline reports that Iron Man 3's domination of the international box office has continued after breaking even more records in China. The Shane Black helmed threequel had the highest opening day of all-time in the country with an estimated $21.5 million. According to the site, their insiders tell them that the movie is, "looking more like Avengers which opened at $207M than Iron Man 2 which opened at $128M. Avengers helped them get much more of the family audience. This should continue that trend." These numbers also mean that Iron Man 3 has grossed more internationally during its first week than the entire runs both it's own first instalment AND Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger. The movie finally opens in North America at midnight tonight where it's expected to open with between $165 million - $180 million.

Marvel Studios’ Iron Man 3 pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

STARRING:

Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man
Ben Kingsley as The Mandarin
Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts
Don Cheadle as Rhodey/War Machine
Guy Pearce as Aldrich Killian

Yes, it's a good film. A good Tony Stark/Iron Man film. A good Shane Black film. I doubt it'll make as much money as Avengers but if it does, great !

This film and TDKR go to show how little general audiences around the world care for comic faithfulness to the source material.

Wow, I guess the reason the Nolanite/DC trolls haven't attacked this thread is because they were busy with me on the FF thread. LOL. I'm so in their heads.

^^ What on earth is RDJ wearing.

Funny how all the DC fanboys rushed to make a comment.
It's okay boys, it's okay. There is still hope for a 3hrs Booster Gold 3D film.

@ Thanos why would I be butt hurt I am freakin Marvel and DC fan you idiot!

OMG Marvelites and Nolanites have a lot more in common than they think.

Thank being said I am disappointed in the twist and some stupid plot holes. Yeah I wanted a better Ironman movie then the second one, and by the looks at it they have failed. But I will see for myself tomorrow because yes since I am some sort of butthurt nolanite according to Thanos I will being giving my hard earned money to see it.

Honestly, it's a great film if you can accept the so called twist. 3D didn't work that well, the only exception may be the Malibu house destruction scenes.

All the reviews are extremely positive so I don't know anyone who says it sucks or it's shit except butthurt fanboys who won't stop screaming and stamping their feet because they changed stuff from their precious comic book canon.

@ rorywilliams your are right most reviews are positive but the RT rate is dropping and it down to 81% is suspect it will go up tomorrow and go down again. If you put aside the twist and get over that, there are some serious issues with the movie. My friends saw it already and the things they told me were just omg! So many plot holes, unanswered questions etc...

But if you read the bad reviews and some of those you have to take with a big grain of salt, they are pointing out some those obvious things my friends pointed out to me.

Anyways I am sure the movie will be a great popcorn flick and it will make bank of course. And on to Star Trek, MOS, Wolverine, and Thor2.

"so many plot holes, unanswered questions etc..."

this is always a default statement for people bashing a movie, yet they never actually back it up with what these plot holes ARE...

@ Marvel72 I like you and I have take your side several times. But your comment you just made is the problem from the Marvel fan boys do to DC fans, you guys only focus on the bad never the good!
BlackPhillip

If Schmoes Know, Jeremy Jahns, and Chris Stuckmann all enjoyed the movie, then it's a really good movie. Most of the time, I tend to agree with their reviews. I'm hearing Spill.com's review right now as I speak.

And why are people making a big deal about Killian breathing fire? This happened in the comics as well, folks!

@ JoeMomma29

i haven't got a problem with someones opinion on anything, maybe the dc fanboys comment was wrong.

there is users on this site on this thread that keep bringing up the percentage has gone down never when it goes back up or they use quotes from the bad reviews never the good.

the movie has 105 fresh reviews & 25 rotten but as i said they just focus on the rotten.

@ Marvel72 I see what you are saying but the reason why DC fanboys focus on the bad is because that is what is thrown to them on a regular basis.

For instance we can look at the positive for any the Dark Knight Trilogy but some Marvel fans only throw the bad. I guess what I am trying to say is it sucks to get a taste of your own medicine (not directing that at you personally).
