Chatting with press for his role in Ridley Scott's Prometheus thriller, via Collider, Emmy Award-winning actor Guy Pearce offered up a word or two in regards to his role in the Shane Black-directed Iron Man 3 film. He essentially reveals when he'll start work on the anticipated action flick.
"All I’m going to tell you, because I never talk about anything before I do it, is that I start in a couple of weeks," the actor stated. "I’m sorry, but that’s all I’m going to say." When asked if he was a fan of director Shane Black, Pearce admits, "Well I’m not “not a fan.” I only know one of his films."
Not much unfortunately, but the first we've heard from the actor in regards to his 'Dr. Aldrich Killian' role, the supposed main villain, in the third installment. Bringing up a previous statement from the actor involving his way of categorizing his projects, seemingly earlier during the press, Pearce was asked how does Iron Man 3 fit into that. "I’m not talking about that," is all he said.
Described as a “technological crisis thriller,” set in the world of international war, arms & terror, Marvel Studios' “Iron Man 3” stars Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Andy Lau, Ashley Hamilton, James Badge Dale, with Sir Ben Kingsley and Jon Favreau. Shane Black (“Kiss Kiss Bang Bang”) takes over directorial duties from Jon Favreau, who helmed the first two “Iron Man” films. Principal photography will occur primarily in North Carolina and China. And “Iron Man 3” is set for release in May 3, 2013.
