Its a pose. How do you rip off a pose? If there is a pose that has not been photographed, I want to see it

Looks like it, don't think they'd do it on purpose.
Good find!

Yep. Rip-off.

It does actually look pretty similar. Actually, Vanko's design looks similar with the tattoos and chest armor with bare arms. Yeah, that hair covering the right eye is pretty similar, too!

Could be total coincidence though...

coincidence.

but i really don't like this "whiplash suit/armor".Why do we need Iron man if a small town cop with gun can take him down with single shot?..his whole face and lower torso is vulnerable!!
Bijous
Bijous - 12/11/2009, 4:28 PM
Also similiar but not obvious in the pics above is Vanko's bright orange prison jumpsuit wrapped around his waist and Dastan's red kilt (or whatever). Also, Vanko's wrist and upper arm devices are kind of like Dastan's braces. Hmmm...

@bullsize: Totally!

is that game based off of the film? because the clothes the prince is wearing in that game is what the prince is wearing in the prince of persia film.

Yeah especially if Iron man's suit still has the mini turrets on his shoulders, the one's he used to kill like ten terrorist at once!

bullsize- PATIENTS..that is only his "mark 1" he will
have FULL ARMOR>>don't worry.

as for the pose..looks close enough..but that don't bother me..the movie is going to be just as epic.
it's just a poster.

@Jp499: The other way around. The game is several years old.

You gotta admit that the similarities are pretty crazy, not just in the posters above, but in Whiplash's design, as Bijous mentioned.

@peterparker420:

Yeah, I think you're right. There is this supposedly concept sketch of his full suit (minus helmet):

I hope it looks more like this though:

@ Hawk I agree 100%

@bullsize Again I agree, I have not been impressed with whiplash but as long as they make it work in the movie I won't complain.

If you look at the Joker poster from the last Batman movie, he's pretty much in the same pose.

It's just unimaginative marketing--a coincidence.

i agree with hawksblueeyes. show me a pose that has never been taken.

It is very similar, but wouldn't put to much into it.
Osiris

that does look pretty similar, I can't believe the actual POP movie didn't do this first instead of the cheesy ones they are making.
HelaGood

its similar, but like Hawksblueyes said, its just a pose. the costumes are similar too, but definitely no rip-off. seen this pose a million times before.

@osiris

cheesy???

the makers have scewed Prince Dastan's character from the games...and Glynhall isn't the perfect choice...
Rokrad

Sorry, dont think it is a rip off... thats a pretty common pose. Just a coincidence.

They do look similar.

If I remember correctly, they're both a rip off of the Undertakers entrance pose. Seriously though, it is a pretty universal pose that can be found in other pictorials.

NOthing is new... and trust me that prince of persia pic was a rip off anyways

Looks like people are reachin' for shit to bitch about. There's been comic book covers like this, did Prince of Persia rip that off. Superman the Man of Steel #27 is just like that.

its good pose, who cares if its been used before.

That game was awesome, so whiplash is gonna have to bring the shit down on tony's ass if he wants to live up to that pose, you gotta earn that pose its not a right, lol!
CorneliusLow
CorneliusLow - 12/12/2009, 7:41 AM
damn they should have gotten Mickey Rourke to be in Prince of Persia. He looks better that Jake "Brokeback, I'm Heath Ledger's main squeeze" Gyllenhal or how ever the [frick] you spell it.

YOU COMPLETE ME!
BryEL
BryEL - 12/12/2009, 1:31 PM
Nah, I don't think it is. I mean, how else is Whiplash gonna pose? Maybe if he had his whips over his shoulders...ZZAAPP, electricute his ass. Even if he did, who cares.

@Bijous--that concept sketch, to me at least, looks less like a fully armored "Whiplash" (or as I assume, "Crimson Dynamo"...at least when he dons his full body armor.) and more like he's just wearing his prison jumpsuit under the whiplash pseudo-armor. Or, he's in an orange space suit.
Aiiwolf
Aiiwolf - 12/13/2009, 1:33 AM
The costume in the poster including "THE POSE" makes it look like a rip-off. lol So meh...I could be a rip-off if you put the 2 and 2 together.
NightShade
NightShade - 12/13/2009, 2:15 PM
it's a pose!....we rip off evrybody evryday then, because we live, breath and move like everyone else...unless The prince of persia himself copywrote it that is...now wait now so that means the real prince of persia...he should be getting a cut of the profits from the game no?.lmao..hahaha :P

Comparing the two pictures is like asking who would win in a fight between Superman and Mighty Mouse. Mighty Mouse is a cartoon and Superman is... like... a real guy. lol
DeadWebHead
DeadWebHead - 12/13/2009, 6:58 PM
@ BigHeadSarge: ... really?

As for this article.... COME ON? You mean they used the same posed that ALMOST EVERY bad ass character in the history of ever has used... but no... it had to come from PoP.
