I don't know about you, but I don't like stars to get all political or preachy. I mean, who really cares what an actor thinks about anything that is not in his/her wheelhouse? And I'm surprise how many stars want to risk their likability by giving out their somewhat skewed opinions about polarizing topics--which could possibly end up ruining their careers. Well, for all those "know-it-all" celebrities out there... Take a lesson from Robert Downey Jr., who, when asked about the Boston Bombings during the Iron Man 3 press conference, did a wonderful job answering (and NOT answering) the question...

Marvel Studios’ “Iron Man 3” pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy's hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

Starring Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale with Jon Favreau and Ben Kingsley, “Iron Man 3” is directed by Shane Black from a screenplay by Drew Pearce and Shane Black and is based on Marvel’s iconic Super Hero Iron Man, who first appeared on the pages of “Tales of Suspense” (#39) in 1963 and had his solo comic book debut with “The Invincible Iron Man” (#1) in May of 1968.

“Iron Man 3” is presented by Marvel Studios in association with Paramount Pictures and DMG Entertainment. Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige is producing and Jon Favreau, Louis D'Esposito, Stephen Broussard, Victoria Alonso, Alan Fine, Charles Newirth, Stan Lee and Dan Mintz are executive producers. The film releases May 3, 2013, and is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.

Thanks Gotham and Marvel continues to rule and will continue to rule after MoS is forgotten. Now go back to looking at the only DC/WB trailer you'll be seeing for the next five years. I'll be clearing my schedule to see IM3, T:TDW, C:TWS, Av2, GoTG and Ant-Man.

Being from Boston I'm glad he didn't talk about it. Not that it would've mattered, but why would anyone even want to talk about that anyway, it's sad stuff.

The question should have been asked differently if he was going to ask about the Boston bombings. The terrorist attack in the film is going to get people more emotionally invested in the film considering the attacks are fresh in our minds when Iron Man 3 releases in the US.

When he quits CBMs he will leave a massive hole. Marvel will struggle to attract an actor of his calibre.

"Right now my biggest challenge is this Guantanamo lighting we have here". lol. Classic Downey.

That question was in poor taste.

Still I would rather RDJ say that too, than JUST say, "I like entertainers talk about entertainment".

Chose the safest answer but could of been worst I guess.

that is the best thing RDJ could say, it completely states "yo, I'm an actor so I know for a fact the media will take whatever I say out of context on this subject, so let's talk about this stupid movie that isn't important because i dont want to be the actor who thinks this and come out to be this guy with a hug opion"

BEAUTIFUL ROBERT! JUST BEAUTIFUL RESPONSE.

Just saw IM3 today.
For a movie that was over 2 hours, I surely didn't notice it. It had a great pace to it. However, although the plot was defined enough for me to invest in the movie and where it was taking me, Tony's inner turmoil and the resolution of that inner turmoil was vague at best. There were some great action scenes with Pepper and Rhodes that I really like. But an aspect of the film that I didn't care for, were the scenes between Tony and that kid. It felt unnecessary and was marked with too much smart-aleckiness between the two which got to be a little dull after a while.
I IM3 a 7.5 out of 10

I saw what I wanted to see, but ended up not connecting the way I wanted to connect.
