Iron Man 3 runtime

Count me among the many fans concerned about the purported short runtime of Iron Man 3, but now you can put those fears to rest as the film's runtime has been officially confirmed for 2 hrs 10 min and 22 s. Now, we just need confirmation on the runtime for the Chinese version of Iron Man 3 to see just how much more Tony Stark fans located in the world's second biggest film market are receiving.

Based on Warren Ellis' Extremis storyline and following the box-office shattering events of Marvel's The Avengers, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) has become the target of global terrorist The Mandarin (Sir Ben Kingsley) who has secretly been the mastermind behind most of the tragedies in Tony's life. Isolated from his fellow Avengers, Tony will have to devise his most advanced armor yet if he hopes to save the woman he loves, Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow). Standing beside Tony as he takes on Mandarin's villainous allies and Ten Rings subordinates will be War Machine James Rhodey (Don Cheadle) who was conspicuously absent during the Chituari invasion in New York. Based on a screenplay by Shane Black (Lethal Weapon, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang) and Drew Pearce (Godzilla, Sherlock Holmes 3).

I’m going to see it but seeing the Mandarin rockin sunglasses put me right off. It’s bad enough he’s not Asian. I go in looking to have fun though.

@MarkJulian that reminds. Someone last year wrote an article making predictions of how the cbms of 2013 will do. Did you write that article or was that Ror?

Nice, I don't like a running time too long for most of movies, but this is cool, after avengers, marvel is now making their movies a bit longer it seems. I loved their 1hour and 50 minute format before avengers, but 2:10 is good too, just don't go much further with other movies.

@ATrueHero1987 I honestly don't remember, we've seen so many articles on the subject.

@Jollem, I agree, fanboys think pointing out "plot holes" and regurgitating other people's observations is an indication of their intelligence. At the end of the day, if the film works as a whole (like TDKR did), nit picking can be a constructive way to discuss a film worth discussing, but more often than not use to discredit a movie.

Does that include the credits? Credits seem to get longer and longer as the years go by. We're looking at an hour and a half long movie here.

I think the movies which people say are incredible should have less plot holes, prometheus, spider-man. Actually a lot of shitty screenwriters are coming to big hollywood movies and screwing them. That guy who [frick]ed up lost and prometheus is on star trek 2, so well.

Plot hole is not becoming a thing everyone uses because doesn't like the movies, but mostly because a lot of movies last year had incredible awful plot holes and bad structures.

Thats not bad. However, if your one of the lucky ones who has an AMC theatre playing Iron Man, Iron Man 2, The Avengers then Iron Man 3....youll be sitting for a long while...

That is unless Marvel decided not to do it anymore.
