Plainly taking after promotional efforts for last year’s top grosser, The Avengers, Disney is set to spend millions on marketing for Marvel Studios’ next chapter, Iron Man 3, during next Sunday’s Super Bowl XLVII game especially. According to ScreenCrush, and other sources, the Shane Black-helmed actioner will get not one, but two Super Bowl commercials. Marvel will premiere a new :60 trailer plus a shorter :30 TV spot that may air during the pre- or post-game show. Also from Disney's 2013 slate, The Lone Ranger will get a new 90-second trailer during the first quarter of the game. Meanwhile, Disney.com has updated its online store with new merchandise, featuring even more promo artwork from the Robert Downey Jr.-starrer.
