Actor-turned-screenwriter Justin Theroux, who was tasked to pen the mixed-reviewed puzzle to Marvel Studios' cinematic universe in Iron Man 2,
recently caught up with
I Am Rogue. Sharing thoughts on the studios' direction with
Iron Man 3, replacing Jon Favreau with director Shane Black, in addition to a new scriber Drew Pearce, check out what he had to say.
On any hard feelings of Marvel choosing a new screenwriter for Iron Man 3, "No none at all, I love those guys," the actor replied. "I would totally write something with them again. But it's also one of those gigs where it's better to cycle through voices on that thing," he explained. "If you stay on those things too long as a writer you begin to get a little stale. So I think its better that way and there is a great tradition of sort of screwing the next guy, so to speak, with the next script. It's like, I set up that part and now you take it from there."
On Marvel's direction with Shane Black taking over,"Obviously I haven't seen what Shane is working on yet but I'm super stoked to see Captain America, Thor, and The Avengers too when that comes together.".
