Marvel’s “Iron Man 3” pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy's hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

I am sensing a duality theme in this film with Ironmans mask cleaved in two like that.

And how it effects all the different characters.

Is his head in there? The lights are on, the face is slashed and the helmet can't be removed while fully assembled.

Creepy.

I'm also loving these posters, it's good now that basically everyone knows Iron Man so they don't have to use the posters to sell the movie they can now use them to make fans really [frick]ing curious. This movie can't come soon enough!

@NeoBaggins

When Thor enters the Avengers and flies off with Loki, Stark puts his helmet on to go after them - it is seperate from the suit.

Geez, where do you get these guys....

Oh, people responded to that? lol Okay....

@MerchantOfDeath I don't remember the quinjet scene. So, he takes it off whole, like a standard helmet then. Okay. Kept thinking it broke down in pieces for some reason.

Oh, I remember. It's intact when he's on top of the donut shop. Very good then.

I still am feeling like that damage is from the Mandarin's rings. I mean, that looks like a pure slash mark that just ripped through the mask. And his suit is a mess in the trailer in the snow. I am so intrigued what that mess to him.

That's the Mark XLII helmet, but in the trailer she held one of the older helmets, Mk III-VII like that with the same crack

@jCameron That's an interesting thought. Rockwell definitely has the chops.

I was hoping they would retire Downey and look for a slightly younger Iron Man before he got too played out. But if this movie is good as I'm thinking it's going to be, they're going to keep Downey until he's shitting in the suit.

@jCameron I like Favreau, and actually think he woulda made a kick-ass Avenegers film. But Tony's antics started to get tired in Iron Man2 like you said. I hate that "coconut and metal" line. His character is consistent under Whedons direction in Avengers, and he's slightly less silly, but I get the feeling that Black is going to do something awesome with him. I don't know why. Might be setting myself up, but I think Shane can bring a more badass quality to Stark and move away from the irresponsible goof with the flat one-liners. That's why I liked his sacrifice in Avengers. It was a different angle of Stark. Some substance.
