I don't think anyone involved with this film understands what prehensile actually means... it does not mean "can move on its own" it means "adapted to grasping things". While you could in a round about way say the armour grasps Tony, that's not really a technically correct use of it...

That said, I like the design a lot and the gold has grown on me, though I think the reasoning behind it is a little strained... Iron Man hasn't been primarily gold for decades. Indeed, despite the 'golden avenger' moniker, I don't think he was even gold all that long in the beginning comics.

I was saying that about his mostly Gold armor for the Mark 42 from the get go. Damn I'm good

@josh....Better than 1st Iron Man?! O_o....Fo realz?! I regard that to be one of the best cbms ever made....You're not just prisoner of the moment are you?

I liked Iron Man a lot, and it's a fantastic CBM, but this one is even more fun and takes the action to a whole other level. Some people are going to be upset by the twist, and the tone - which borders on being comedic - may not suit those hoping for a darker take on Tony Stark, but this is a big WIN for Marvel Studios IMO.

Anyway, I better shut up before I end up writing my review here and breaking the embargo, lol. :P

@Josh

Just tell me the comedy has Shane Black written all over it.

Oh, it's a Shane Black film, that's for sure!

Hard to compare them to be honest, but I'll say it's as good - better in some ways as it's obviously a lot more focused. Easily the best of the solo movies anyway.

JoshWilding, what did you think of this so called "twist" everyone is talking about. Does it tarnish the film at all? Will those who are open minded like myself be able to take it lightly even though it may not be comic accurate? Was it a necessary change?

And then they had to design all the other armors. Though I guess it was somewhat easier in that they didn't need to make a suit that needed to form around the actor and they could get away with certain colors.

MisterNiceGuy: For me, it didn't bother me because it is so clever, unexpected and funny that I couldn't care less that it's not like the comics! Genius movie by Marvel. First time I've been slackjawed...so shocking! Don't let it get spoiled for you.

MARVELPSYCHO79: Hard to say, but it's a good length and infinitely more satisfying than the Whiplash fight in Iron Man 2!

@Josh....thanks for what intel you have given us! I'm hoping I like it better than the 1st film too. But seeing how 3rd movies usually end up, I don't want to set my expectations too high.

@Josh
Is the "comedic" tone more like, darker, dry kind of humor? Or like cheesy humor?
@MrMartinMarvel
Same here bro. In a way I kind of like spoilers for that very reason.

@Sparrowsabre7

Using your definition, each individual piece of the armor is adapted to be able to grasp onto Tony Stark independently from the rest of the suit... so in a way, it still works.

I have been collecting IM since the 80s when no oneeven knew who he was. Red has always been the dominant color of all his suits with gold as accents and trim. I really like the Heartbreaker armor as someone who has seen them all.
