Tease Of THE AVENGERS 2 Attached To IRON MAN 3?

Tease Of THE AVENGERS 2 Attached To IRON MAN 3?

Uncertain if it’s the after-credits scene described recently, but claims have surfaced suggesting that a teaser for Marvel’s The Avengers sequel will appear with the upcoming Iron Man 3 film!

Considering Marvel’s first big tease of The Avengers came with the studios’ first original film, it’s somewhat unsurprising that the same would be done for Iron Man 3 and The Avengers sequel. According to Yahoo Movies - India, that is exactly what’s in store for the spearhead of Phase Two for Marvel’s Cinematic Universe. “It’s true that the teaser of Avengers 2 is being attached to Iron Man 3. It is a double attraction for the fans of superhero films because they will get to see what Avengers 2 has in store along with the action-packed Iron Man 3,” the site reports.

Of course, filming for The Avengers 2 hasn’t started yet, so “teaser” shouldn’t be mistaken for “teaser trailer.” However, earlier this month, a plausible description of the Iron Man 3 stinger involved (highlight SPOILER)Tony Stark talking with Bruce Banner over the phone(END SPOILER). So, that scene could be the “teaser” that’s being implied in the above report. What do you think?

Marvel Studios’ “Iron Man 3” pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man? Starring Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale with Jon Favreau and Ben Kingsley, “Iron Man 3” is directed by Shane Black from a screenplay by Drew Pearce & Shane Black and is based on Marvel’s iconic Super Hero Iron Man, who first appeared on the pages of “Tales of Suspense” (#39) in 1963 and had his solo comic book debut with “The Invincible Iron Man” (#1) in May of 1968. “Iron Man 3” is presented by Marvel Studios in association with Paramount Pictures & DMG Entertainment. Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige is producing & Jon Favreau, Louis D’Esposito, Stephen Broussard, Victoria Alonso, Alan Fine, Charles Newirth, Stan Lee & Dan Mintz are executive producers. The film hits May 3, 2013, and is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. Marvel Studios will also release “Thor: The Dark World ” on November 8, 2013; “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” on April 4, 2014; “Guardians of the Galaxy” on August 1, 2014; the sequel to “Marvel's The Avengers” on May 1, 2015; and “Ant-Man” on November 6, 2015!

Maybe it's a teaser of the title and phase 2, lol. Marvel really needs more marketing for the next Avengers, really???

Maybe some sort of teaser... like the logo and title?

Of course it's not direct footage from The Avengers 2, but they could have shot something recently. I sorta think it was the after-credits scene described a couple weeks ago.

Maybe "Iron Man will return in The Avengers 2" or something like that

When they say "teaser", do they mean "scene that leads into Avengers 2?"

Maybe something related to the Infinity gems?

Honestly the only people who need teasers are Antman, Doctor Strange, and any of the other phase 3 movies.

Okay, for those saying The Avengers 2 hasn't started filming yet, so there can't be a teaser: There was an Avengers teaser in the first Iron Man movie, clearly before The Avengers was even green-lit.

Maybe the Mandarin appears setting up the masters of evil plot.

DCMarvelFreshman@ Um no considering they were always intending to build towards the Avengers.

@Jatevin,

They were and they weren't though. THey wanted to drop a little nugget there, and obviously were hoping to build towards it, but they had no idea if it would really happen when they made the first Iron Man.

But yeah, I agree that it's probably not unlike the post-credits scene in Iron Man. Just a little bit of setup.

I don't understand why every Marvel movie so far has had a scene like that, EXCEPT Cap, which had actual footage from the film....yet everyone is expecting something like what Cap had again. It was the odd one out...

I think it will be two post-credits

1) Banner therapist

2) Loki/Thor/Odin/The Other talking to a hidden Thanos about the infinity gauntlet(Avengers 2). It is located in Asgard right now, there is a point where Thanos will have to retrieve it

DCMarvelFreshman - 4/22/2013, 8:02 AM
@JatevinM They were intending to build towards The Avengers, but it wasn't guaranteed until Iron Man became a hit. But that's not the point I was trying to make. Point is: there was a teaser for The Avengers in the first Iron Man movie before Avengers footage existed. Which makes it very possible that there's an Avengers 2 teaser with Iron Man 3.

@LEVITIKUZ Now I see why people are calling bullshit. "Teaser" is NOT necessarily a trailer. No one said anything about a trailer.

All this mid-credits/end credits rumors, I think I'll still be surprised this saturday when I go watch the movie, because what is the actual scene? It's all rumors, rumors,rumors. I'll be still surprised!

Again, people judging a film they haven't even seen yet.smh

While these movies are connected to TA2, it's still STAND ALONE.

As for the tease to The Avengers 2, they have enough time to put together something unique.

@bbarber2323
They already spilled a few days ago on this very site.

One thing about Iron Man 3...the spoilers actually really ruined something about the movie for me. I think it's finally taught me self control with such things. I'll still see the movie, and I'm sure I'll still love it immensely, but the ending twist is clearly something that would have been far more satisfying after buildup via the story. Context is a major component of that ending. Oh well.

@JabbaTheHut

don't cry :(

I need to wait like two weeks to watch this movie, still hoping it will surprise me. I'm sure the twist ending would have a better impact on me if i heard about in theater. I guess the main problem that Marvel have to solve now, is that they should focus on releasing every god damn movie they make, on the same day in different countries. Jesus, it's like two weeks left. By the time the movie hits there will be no surprises left.

I agree that they should have some teases for Guardians of the Galaxy, but the movie that needs to do that the most is Cap 2. It's nice to build up some hype this early, but given the way Marvel likes to market, I wouldn't expect much until 2014 anyway.

A really solid way of pushing GOTG is to play off the whole, "Don't know who the hell that was at the end of Avengers? You will after seeing Guardiands of the Galaxy."
