Megan Fox: Jonah Hex Will Be Very Violent Despite the PG-13 Rating

Megan Fox assures fans of Jonah Hex that they wont be disappointed with the levels of violence in the upcoming movie.

"I think it's a really good interpretation of the comic," said Fox of the upcoming "Hex" movie. "It somehow manages to be super-violent while still having a PG-13 rating. I don't know how they did that."

"It looks incredible and I've never been so blown away with the performances in an action film aside from my own as I am in this one," she added. "Because it's [Josh] Brolin and [John] Malkovich and Michael Fassbender, and these theater actors who are just phenomenons and brilliantly talented."

Fox had high praise for the man bringing the grouchy gunslinger to life on screen..

"I think he is Jonah Hex," said Fox. "He is the perfect, perfect perfect pick for that character."

Well that's good news! Even it being a PG-13 they can get away with alot in movies, look at HELLBOY 2, this is why im looking forward to LOBO too, though i don't like the teaming with a teenage girl bit, i hope they drop that idea lol!

Still, cant wait for HEX gonna be a WILD 'WEST' ride!!! ; D

No, no, no, no, noooooooooooo! Please say it isn't so! Hex is PG-13. I wanted an R rating so we could see Megan Fox naked! Now this whole damn movie is ruined? :( When did they say it was PG-13?

It's a comic book western. Hex is kind of like Boba Fett, except his face is all messed up on one side

Okay got that outta' the way, I hope this movie is at least half as good as the comics (thank you LEEE). If it isnt great I'm not going to sweat it though. I dont have any emotional investments tied up in this film. I cant see Brolin or Malkovich giving a bad performance so thats a plus. If the production team plays there cards right they can get away with alot even under a PG-13 rating. I recently watched Beastmaster for the first time since childhood and was suprised to see it was rated PG-13. That movie has it all, blood, violence and boobs. There was nothing that an R rating could have done to make it better.

As a Jonah Hex fan, I want this movie. He is one of DC's coolest, and most underrated characters. I wonder if there will be cameos from some of DC's other western era heroes, like Bat Lash.

I hope they have a Jonah Hex sequel, that would be sick. Especially if they follow the HEX series where he is in the future!

I thought Thomas Jane would have made a good Hex, but still, i like where this movie is headed




Who knows, maybe this film will pave the way for a Dark Tower movie

Wow I can't wait to see this movie! Megan Fox actually is happy to be in this movie, I hope it goes well. Have to get the graphic novel!

I think she'd be cool one on one, if ya know what I mean ;) heh...

Brolin has come a long way from The Goonies. After seeing his last few movies, I'm a pretty big fan, and I think there's a good chance he'll go on to do even better. He plays a great dark cowboy. And Christ, Malkovich - it must MUST be a great script for him to have done a comic book movie at this point. Not that Burn After Reading was anything great, but on that I think he just wanted to work with the Cohens.

And seriously, after seeing GI Joe (and yeah hating it), I think some people on the ratings board are on the take. Hell, The Dark Knight was very harsh for PG-13, but GI Joe was ridiculously violent (not that I'm opposed). And then after seeing Basterds, I'm surprised it even got a hard R lol.

I Have been a fan Of Jonah Hex for a very long time and I can't wait for the movie to come out I want it now!
As for putting Jonah into the future,, HELL, FRAKKEN NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I put up with 18 FRAKKED UP ISSUES that put Jonah on the Chopping block ..... FRAK NO to The Future Bullshit.
