Megan Fox has had quite a tumultuous ride in Hollywood, getting her start in the Transformers franchise and later starring in poorly received movies like Jonah Hex and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. There were some good parts along the way (Jennifer's Body, for example), but it's only in the past few years that Fox has enjoyed a career resurgence of sorts thanks to the roles she's chosen.
After a memorable stint in New Girl, the actress has been a little pickier with the projects she signs up for, and there's now a lot of excitement surrounding her next movie, Till Death.
Talking to The Washington Post about her career, Fox looks back on her Jonah Hex role in 2010, revealing that she only recently watched it for the first time. Saying she believes it was a "decent" movie, Fox added: "While I shouldn’t have been nominated for an Oscar for it, I’m definitely not bad in it."
That's actually a fair observation, and most critics found fault with the haphazard nature of the movie under the direction of Jimmy Hayward (he's only helmed animated movie Free Birds since). Jonah Hex was, however, a box office flop, grossing only $11 million worldwide on a $47 million budget.
The title character has since appeared in episodes of Legends of Tomorrow, but that's it.
As for Fox, she recently expressed an interest in starring in a Marvel or DC movie, so could end up getting a shot at redemption by playing a different character from either comic book universe.
