BOX OFFICE: Here's How Much Warner Bros. Will Need To Make Just To Break Even On JUSTICE LEAGUE

Justice League was always going to be expensive with Zack Snyder at the helm (he loves his special effects) and a number of sources tell Variety that the production budget was indeed over $250 million. It's not clear whether that includes reshoots but previous reports have claimed that those may have cost upwards of $50 million. As a result, Warner Bros. is obviously hoping for a very big opening!

The trade adds that when you throw in worldwide marketing and distribution costs, Justice League will have to make $600 million from ticket sales alone and a fair bit of additional revenue from ancillaries like pay-TV and home entertainment in order to turn a profit. At one point, a movie featuring this DC Comics team would have made a guaranteed $1 billion but that changed after Batman v Superman

With mixed reviews, it will be interesting seeing how Justice League does at the worldwide box office but fans are understandably excited to see these iconic heroes together at last so that's going to no doubt help. Will you be checking out the movie this weekend? Share your thoughts down below.

@MrBillCipher - The critics were wrong on a third DC Film. This is, indeed, Snyder's best DC Film and might be the best in his entire career. If you are a fan of the traditional Batman and the Classic Superman, this is the movie you have been waiting for. This is the dream film for DC fans, even those that hated Snyder's previous DC Films. It's not only fun, it is also engaging with a lot of heart and a good message about hope. I will recommend it to everyone and I know quite a few more that will do the same.
