@Doom303 great work bro!

Have you ever thought in transcribing your videos?

Sometimes I'm at work and I can't watch vids but read text

My biggest concern with BvS was their decision to include things like the future (?) sequence that was jarring and made no sense and raised tons of questions and added nothing the film while cutting out scenes that explained more. As you said, why doesn't Superman see the bomb? Whybhas Batman gone nuts? Why does he see a very specific vision that includes very specific things like Parademons which he couldn't possibly know about? Or maybe he does, but we as an audience have no idea, and are left to ponder if Batman is clairvoyant... That is, if we read comics and know what Parademons are... And if not, then we are really confused.

Also, like you said, a simple and clearly inified story is better than saying, "I want the coolest elements and scenes from The Dark Knight Returns, Injustice and The Death of Superman all in this film! Also, I have this AMAZING idea based upon the fact that Bruce and Clark's moms have the same name!"

@TomSolo - Yup. Just a solid story. That's all they need right now... Hoping Justice League can deliver...

@Doom303 - Me too. There are so many great stories and so many great characters in DC that I really wish they could somehow translate into great films. I think they need to be inspired by the comics and the characters rather than try so hard to wow the audience or insert very specific scenes or moments from the comics. They did that too much in BvS, and as you said, it's hard for the audience to care about the gravity of a scene if they aren't given time to care about and invest it the characters.

It would be like if Marvel would have had Iron Man and Cap square off in the second movie. It just would have been too soon. The audience is very familiar with the Batman and Superman characters from previous films and pop culture and comics. But I feel they need to be clearly defined in THIS cinematic universe, along with their motivations for their actions. We had very little to explain why Batman had gone nuts. That was a big problem for me. I could surmise it had something to do with a past Robin, and years of fighting maniacs that constantly got out of jail after being caught. But my non-comic reading friends were very confused. Much of this movie could be assumed to make sense if you are familiar with the comics, but it definitely confused a lot of the folks who just want to watch a good movie.

@Doom303 - Sorry, man. I could go on and on about this movie... a movie I was very excited to see and very much wanted to like. And it wasn't terrible by any means. But there was just so much potential, and I felt really disappointed that it did not deliver. To me, at least.

I saw Suicide Squad at the theater but left without any desire to watch it again. It was "OK" at best but did little for me. Try again DC.
