Saw this as soon as it became available on digital download midnight. It's average, Flashpoint Paradox and JL Doom were more enjoyable and it doesn't hold a candle to Dark Knight Returns. Story was too formulaic and characters too 2-dimensional. Action was fun to watch but nothing extraordinary.

Sorry, I have never bought a DC animated movie. They're great to watch, but for how short they are and the cost... Not worth it to drop $20 every time. It was an excellent movie though. Didn't like Capt Marvel being called Shazam considering when he actually says it the lighting comes and changes him. Batman and Flash were my favorites again. I'm really happy that they finally drew Batman and Superman without the underwear. I can finally take them seriously.

Batman and Flash were pretty much the best characters in the movie. Superman/Wonder Woman/Darkseid/etc. were flat characters and loved punching things. I thought the movie was alright, but nothing great like Wonder Woman or Batman Under the Red Hood.

Just finished watching it and yeah it's alright, sometimes he lingered to long on one shot, (one that stands out was a shot of cyborg. I remember reading Shazam was going to be a KEY character which I would say he wasn't as key as I thought. Think it fell a touch short but I enjoyed it for what it was.

MAC called it...they really ruined the WW character in this movie...she wasnt even recognizable at all as far as personality...she was like a flying punching Kelly Bundy lol

Spidey10 - 1/22/2014, 5:55 AM
Def one of the weaker DC animated movies they've come out with...and I dont like the new 52 Superman at all...who thought making him an asshole was a great idea...Asshole Supes is OP as hell lol and it seems like everyone in this movie got a power boost including Batman and GL got taken down to pretty much just being there...really disappointing

@Spidey

That clip of her saying "there is my true responsibility: combat" sucked for several reasons. First, it was delivered awkwardly, the acting sucked and it perfectly sums up the thing I hate about writers who don't understand the character: they focus too much on the [frick]ing warrior aspect. That's a small part of her [frick]ing character. Diana's intent, although impossibly, is essentially equality and peace, not fighting, killing and combat for [frick]'s sake. The warrior aspect is a small part. You know how to tell a writer understands the character? When WW confronts her enemy, one on one, she gives them a chance to surrender, go peaceful and redeem themselves. It's also annoying how writers who don't get the damn character have her love and revel in war... ugh... oh and when she was jumping up killing the Parademons screaming "HO! HA! HA! HO! HA! HO! HHEEEEEYAAAAAH! HOO! HA! HO! HA!" was embarrassing. Superman looks like a douche, sounds like a douche, acts like a douche and looks terrible. When I see the film fully... DC's first truly shit animated film... the only one that has come truly close to be below mediocre thus far has been JL: Doom.

@Spidey

Pretty much. New 52 Superman is humorless, joyless, dull, somber, paranoid, cynical idiot in a forced romance with WW.
