JUSTICE LEAGUE Could Be Dethroned By Pixar's COCO This Weekend According To Fandango Ticket Sales

If Fandango ticket sales for Thanksgiving weekend are any indication, Warner Bros.' Justice League could be in danger of losing its top spot at the box office to Disney Pixar's new animated film, Coco.

It looks like Justice League will have some stiff competition from Disney Pixar's Coco at the box office during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Estimates show the two films virtually neck and neck, but Fandango ticket sales in particular show the Pixar animated film actually outpacing the DC epic for the upcoming weekend.

Fandango's latest Fanticipation chart shows Coco currently ahead of Justice League. Coco has a 94 out of 100 Fanticipation movie buzz index points, which is just slightly ahead of the second place Justice League with 87. Bolstered by glowing reviews and the fact that it appeals to the whole family, Coco is currently tracking for a $55 million to $60 million five-day domestic debut. It's already the highest grossing movie ever in Mexico.

Justice League, meanwhile, has been slow out of the gate, with a domestic opening of just $96 million. It fared a little better internationally, raking in $281.5 million, but the fact that this blockbuster superhero team up could be dethroned in just its second weekend is not good for Warner Bros which could lose somewhere between $50 and $100 million on the once anticipated film.

Do you plan to see Justice League or Coco this holiday weekend?

I'm wondering if JL had a Christmas release, would their box office be a different story? Cuz their competition right now is just too hefty.

Tor Ragnarok, Coco, and The Last Jedi. The three films that are working to ensure that Justice League is a failure...all made by Disney. Hmmmmm....
