DOCTOR STRANGE Writer Jon Spaihts Reportedly Joins JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK
We recently heard that Warner Bros. is starting from scratch on Justice League Dark and now a new report claims that a writer with plenty of mystical experience has now boarded the DC Comics adaptation.
Justice League Dark has been stuck in development hell for a while now and it was recently revealed that Warner Bros. is starting from scratch on the movie which has lost a number of directors. Well, The Hashtag Show is now reporting that Jon Spaihts has signed up to pen the screenplay for the DC Comics adaptation and it's fair to say that he's a good fit to delve into this world of magic and demons.
He did, after all, contribute to movies like Prometheus and Doctor Strange and wrote the story for The Mummy reboot (he can't be blamed for the screenplay itself, though, as he didn't actually pen that).
We don't really know what to expect from Justice League Dark now, especially as Warner Bros. is plotting a series of DC Comics adaptations which stand apart from the DC Extended Universe movies. It would be good to see these characters in the same world as Batman and Superman but it could be that the studio decides to have the team stand apart from heroes like those. We'll have to wait and see.
