Justice League has unfortunately become a case of fans continuing to see more and more of what could have been. The film's villain, Steppenwolf, sported a much different design when he was teased in a deleted scene from Batman v Superman, and while that design was carried over quite far into Justice League's production, it was eventually changed to more classic, armored figure.

Artist Jerad Marantz has posted a piece of concept art on his Instagram that showcases Steppenwolf's original design that is very much in line with what fans got to see in Batman v Superman's deleted scene. It's clear director Zack Snyder intended for a much more monstrous version of the character, though we may never receive a reason as to why the design was altered.

Check out the art below, and let us know your thoughts. Would you have preferred this version of Steppenwolf?
