JUSTICE LEAGUE Star Henry Cavill Suits Up As Superman To Pose With ACTION COMICS #1

A photo has surfaced from the set of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice featuring Henry Cavill in full costume as the Man of Steel posing with Action Comics #1. This is one very iconic piece of imagery!

Say what you will about Superman's portrayal in the DC Extended Universe but Henry Cavill is a damn good Man of Steel. He's cemented his status as the iconic DC Comics superhero in a photo which has started doing the rounds on social media where the actor is pictured alongside a copy of Action Comics #1. That's obviously the very first appearance of Superman in a comic book and it's worth millions!

It's unclear which copy of the 1938 comic that this is but it's possible that it's the one sold for over $3.2 million back in 2014 to New York's Metropolis Collectibles. Either way, not many people get as close to a piece of history as Cavill has but he is Superman, so the Justice League star definitely deserves it!

Very little is known about Cavill's role in the superhero ensemble but Superman is going to return from the dead at some point to help the team battle Steppenwolf and his Parademons. What do you guys think of this photo? As always, be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.

This is not rescent, this is the set of Batman v Superman, not Justice League... his hair is to the left, in Justice League it is to the right (the right way if you ask me).

My Life will be complete if we see Cavill's Superman in a dingy bar, flicking peanuts and drinking Johnny Red label

What is with all of this nostalgia on the part of DC. It seems like there are no new ideas which is not going to serve them well over time.
