MEN IN BLACK/ JUMP STREET Crossover Is "Crazy" But Still A Possibility

Remember when a Men In Black and Jump Street crossover was ready to be greenlit? Well, both Phil Lord and Chris Miller commented on that and told whether or not the idea was still a possibility.

A while back during the 'Sony Hack' era, an email leaked that revealed Sony wanted a Men in Black/ Jump Street crossover to happen. At the Golden Globe Awards, MTV caught up with Phil Lord and Chris Miller and asked them was this still a possibility. "Nothing’s changed. It’s still a crazy idea, and we only do things that seem like they’re going to be terrible.” He then adds, “We’re really focusing on what’s a great story for Schmidt and Jenko and how to tell the next chapter in their lives. And perhaps use creatures from another world at the same time.” That wasn’t a definite yes, but it wasn’t a no either. I know I’d love to see Schmidt and Jenko tag up with Kay and Jay in one action-packed film. What do you think? Sound off below with your thoughts!

I would watch the shit out of this movie. The directors are sound. And 21 Jump Street is true action comedy of today. So this idea, no matter how ludicrous it sounds, I would watch.

Why is everyone so down on this? This sounds [frick]ing awesome. These are the kind of movies people should want to see. Completely off the wall crazy ideas, as opposed to safe boring remakes and reboots. Especially with talented directors like Phil Lord and Chris Miller on board.

Think about it: 22 Jump Street made fun of sequels just copying the first one, this crossover will likely make fun of every franchise being a shared universe now. This is comedy goldmine imo.

Please, no. Don't taint Jump Street with the mediocre MIB franchise.

I still stand by word that i think a Ghostbuster/MIB crossover would be more sense then a JumpStreet/MIB crossover. But prehaps that's just me

How would they do an MIB/Jump Street crossover when Will Smith is going to be in a probably heavy contract with a rival studio?

The problem is MIB is kid friends while jump street is for the older crowd.

Well I would guess the movie would deal with Schmidt and Jenko joining MiB and maybe Will Smith making a cameo instead of being a lead character. Smith is very picky and expensive (but somehow he agrees to make shit like After Earth) but he would be down for a cameo (Anchorman 2).

just reboot the franchise with tatum and hill screw it. would make more sense if they were theyre own characters in the world of mib. i dont think aliens work in the world of 21 jump sstreet drug culture comedy.

I seriously believe Sony execs are just throwing darts at a wall of their franchises now
