The summer movie season is in full swing now, and after the launch of 20th Century Fox's X-Men finale Dark Phoenix this week, the next big-budget blockbuster on our radar is Sony Pictures' Men in Black: International, which stars the fan-favorite pairing of Chris Hemsworth (Avengers: Endgame) and Tessa Thompson (Avengers: Endgame) in the lead roles as Agents H and M, respectively.

The F. Gary Gray-directed sci-fi comedy sequel is currently tracking for a $40 million plus debut, which is a tad lower than the $50 million plus debuts for the previous entries in the franchise - although it should be noted that all three of the Will Smith/Tommy Lee Jones-led features opened over holiday weekends.

In addition to Hemsworth and Thompson, the film will also feature Liam Neeson (Batman Begins), Kumail Nanjiani (Silicon Valley), Rebecca Ferguson (Mission: Impossible - Fallout), Rafe Spall (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom), the Les Twins, and Emma Thompson (Men in Black 3) in key roles.

@knocturnalzen10 - Yeah, I was thinking it had something to do with those "self-admitted" comments he had a few months back...

I like Hemsworth but this movie looks horrible

@IcemanX

Rush might be his only real winner outside of the MCU. Bad Times at the El Royale was alright...too long and more straight forward than I wanted it to be.

@KingCipher

The trailers teased a more complicated plot but the movie was a lot more straightforward. The actors were all great, just found the movie a bit bloated and less complicated(?) than I thought it would be.

@tmp3 - It cost just $110M, so it will be fine.

Chris Hemsworth needs a WIN outside of MCU.

WIll this be the one? Hey on bright side...of MCU is only place he soars then he will be easy to get back as Thor.

Posters are on point. Hopefully it's a fun entry to the franchise. Maybe the next one could make them crossover with Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones) and Agent J (Will Smith), now that would be great.

Nothing will ever beat the first one. Just an all around classic with an amazing duo.

I have such a fondness for men in black 3 I'm definitely not going to miss this one in theaters. I think Tessa and Chris are so charismatic they can make up for anything the plot lacks, not saying it will

I think it looks solid/fun from the marketing.

Tessa Thompson walking through sand dunes in three-inch block heels just exudes big dick energy.

The talent involved in this movie, from the actors to the director are all top notch, but the first trailer for it is just terrible. Hemsworth sounds like he's just basically playing Thor in a suit, even the bad English accent he's trying sounds just like Thor.
