Will pushed him away and said, “Hey man, what the hell is your problem buddy?”

After the smack, Will said, "He tried to kiss me on the mouth. He's lucky I didn't try to sucker punch him. ... Sorry, I said that on camera."

If I was a famous actor and this guy would ask me politely if he could kiss me Id let him. But if he did it like this all sneaky and shit I would react like Will and pimp smack him

I guess the reporter didn't realize that not everyone likes their personal space invaded like that nor enjoys participating in that kind of activity. Good job Will, float like a butterfly and sting like a bee.

That reporter is a [frick]in moron... Will Smith should've punched for being an idiot. Invading someone's space like that usually results with reactions of that nature, so the reporter should just stick to reporting and quit acting like a jackass.

Don't know if I would have reacted in the same manner, but I can't really fault Will for reacting sharply to an invasion of personal space. Cultural differences: they are bitch sometimes.

@Ironman666: I don't remember giving you permission to use that word. Spout your racist shit elsewhere.

That reporter was invading Will's personal space. And the second kiss on his cheek looked like he almost kissed his mouth. Obviously, the reporter wasn't actually try to kiss him on the mouth, but still.

I just would have pushed him away. I don't think the slap was necessary.

@ironman666 It doesn't matter if there is any spaces in the word... you're still saying it. Putting spaces in it doesn't make it any less offensive.

Please Galactus ban Ironman666 before he takes it any farther.

Also as for this situation I can understand Smiths reaction. I have no problems with homosexuals but if one of them came up and tried kissing me on the mouth I would shove them away. Cheeks maybe because that is a cultural thing but on the mouth? No.

It only gets funnier to me the more I watch it.

But you just said "African-American". So obviously you know what you were doing. Just because they use it, doesn't mean you can. They earned it. You did not.

@ironman666:

So, you say you "will always vehemently oppose any usage with any malicious intent" right there above this post.

Yet, when I stated that I found it offensive, you immediately post "But i think i'll use that word again just to piss u off and show my anger", followed by a mini wall of the word.

One of your stances contradicts the other. Regardless of YOU doing it in play, I and others find nothing about it that is funny or playful in the slightest. I agree that there are a good number of black men that say it, however, as you can clearly see that I am a black man and am opposed to its use in any way (check several of my past posts), my stance on the matter should tell you something.

For a person that claims to have a clean heart, your mind sure seems to be cluttered. And normally, I am the type to excuse someone from doing so, but for you to sling names, then come back and state how much of a saint you are...I don't think so. We're on the internet, yes, but even here, there are consequences.

ironman666- That is not a word to be 'played around with.' It's a word to hurt and demean people. You are obviously young and probably havent seen the pain it causes people. I have. I've seen people brought to tears or become emotionally wrecked for days because of it.

And really you think calling yourself a racist name makes up for it? If I called Darkhaven the N-word and then said 'just playing I'm a redneck peckerwood cracker.' He'd be like 'oh if that's the case its cool?" It doesnt matter who you are or where your from a racist slur is a racist slur. That makes NO sense whatsoever.

This is a free country and you can write that word over and over till the end of the world. Its your right. Its also Galactus right to kick people out of HIS message boards if he feels your hurting or insulting his users. Tread lightly my friend.

@ironman666 Seriously? Just because someone may not mean to use a word maliciously, doesn't mean it won't hurt or upset others. I'm all for free speech, but it wouldn't kill you to be considerate, would it? It's not all about you.

And I don't care whether that guy was gay or not. He was a little too friendly, which isn't a horrible thing, but I completely understand Will Smith getting weirded out by it. I don't think there's a bad guy in this situation, just a clash of attitudes about what's appropriate when dealing with personal space and strangers. I'm sure both of them will shrug it off and everyone else shouldn't make a big deal out of it.
