Another Character Joining LOKI And SCARLET WITCH On Disney's Streaming Service Possibly Revealed

Not too long ago, we learned that Marvel Studios was developing Loki and Scarlet Witch TV shows for Disney's streaming service. The big budget shows will run for an expected eight episodes, focusing on characters that are unlikely to get their own movies.

Now, MCU Cosmic has shared a rumour - and they're quick to point out that is only a rumour - about who else may be getting the spotlight.

Apparently, they've heard that at least two more shows are in development and while they don't know who will be the focus of one of them, it's said that the other will revolve around Nick Fury.

Does that
mean Samuel L. Jackson will star? We don't know, but a series focusing on Fury, Maria Hill, and even Agent Coulson would be a great deal of fun. Alternatively, a younger actor could be cast to delve into his past but seeing as Captain Marvel will deal with that, it's hard to say what a show like this could end up achieving. Either way, this definitely leaves us with plenty to think about.

What do you guys think about the prospect of a Nick Fury TV show on Disney's streaming platform?

@aflynn - Yep, a proper AoS with a big budget would be nice.

I still don't see the point of a Loki or a Scarlet Witch TV show.

They could even make a movie with Fury, Hill, Coulson, Hawkeye, Black Widow, etc...

Something similar to Winter Soldier (in tone) but with Fury, Widow and Hawkeye as the main protagonists instead of Cap, with the rest of SHIELD as support.

That would be better than a Fury TV show or a Black Widow movie (BW would be the main protagonist on this SHIELD movie because Scarlett Johansson).

@KoolerThanJesus - I can see how Loki works..Star with a large fanbase, explore more Asgard and other wordly locations, play Loki off other characters..

@aflynn - Problem is Loki is supposedly dead, Asgard was destroyed, most asgardians from the comics are also dead, and imo Loki works better as a villain with Thor involved somehow.

Maybe Avengers 4 could change everything with time travel, but I think Loki has already been overused in the MCU, I don't see Hiddleston leaving other film roles to keep playing Loki on TV, the asgardian stuff would need a big budget to don't look ridiculous on TV compared to how it looked on the Thor movies, and I don't really think that a lot of people would be interested in a Thorless and Odinless Loki TV show even if Loki has been a popular character in the MCU.

Marvel should think about shows for characters that are not being used and/or will not be used too much in the movies and that have had some level of protagonism by themselves in the comics, like Blade, Moon Knight, Ghost Rider, Thunderbolts... Stuff that could fit in the movies but also in a TV show.

But I don't see the shows for Loki or Scarlet Witch working, they would need big budgets just to pay Hiddleston and Olsen, and I don't see them as characters that would work by themselves without other characters like Thor, Odin, Vision and The Avengers, I just don't know of anyone that was asking for a Loki or Scarlet Witch TV show, so I just don't see it, I think there are other much better options, but maybe Marvel will prove me wrong, idk.

@KoolerThanJesus - I think the original post detailing the Loki and SW shows said they would be "big budget"

Hiddleston has also dabbled in TV shows recently, I also think Loki has a big enough fanbase they would give it a shot.

In comics everyone is dead alive dead alive again dead dead alive, I don't find that to be an obstacle but maybe others will.

I could absolutely see it working but its up to Marvel to pony up.
