A First Look At The New DC Studios Logo Has Seemingly Leaked Online

Harley Quinn writer Patrick Schumacker has shared a photo to social media, and it looks like he may not have realized that he's wearing a hoodie featuring the new DC Studios logo!

Recently-appointed DC Studios co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran have made it clear that they intend to reset Warner Bros.' shared world with what now looks to be a full reboot, and their out with the old, in with the new approach was always going to call for a revamped logo!

Writer Patrick Schumacker (Harley Quinn, Powerless, Abbott Elementary) shared a photo to social media to show off a Batman toy, and his hoodie gives us a first look at what appears to be the new DC Studios logo.

It's a fairly simple, "New 52" style design, with silhouettes of DC Comics heavy-hitters Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman, Green Lantern, The Flash and Aquaman standing either side of the DC Studios title sign. Some have speculated that it might be a mock-up, but Schumacker has since deleted his original post, so we're guessing it's the real deal!

Fortunately, the Flash Film News Twitter account nabbed it first, so you can check it out below.

With the recent news that Henry Cavill is out as Superman, we're guessing it's only a matter of time before James Gunn announces that Gal Gadot and the rest of the "Snyder-era" actors won't be returning as their respective characters. Whether that will include the likes of Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), John Cena (Peacemaker) and Zachary Levi (Shazam) remains to be seen, but we anticipate quite a bit of backlash if Gunn and Safran are perceived to be "playing favorites."

What do you guys make of the new logo? Drop us a comment down below.

New 52 bullshit after the Flashpoint storyline.

Could be...

lel, it happened in the comics, it happened in the animated universe and it's happening now for the movies as well...

@Doomsday8888 - Maybe we'll get lucky and Jared Leto will go full method and cut his face off.

@Doomsday8888 - I’m not sure we should run with this yet. They guy might just be wearing a random sweatshirt. It could be they will take elements from the New 52, but it won’t necessarily be a strict adaptation.

Or I’m wrong and the original Superman Cavill survived and went into hiding. I believe that’s what happened…

The art is from Jim Lee’s New 52 Justice League, but the kicker is they removed Cyborg.

Read into that how you will lol

@ELAYEM - Probably want Martian Manhunter in his place then.

@ELAYEM - Honestly I still think Martian Manhunter, Hawkman, Green Arrow or Shazam would be a better fit than Cyborg. Cyborg belongs with the Teen Titans and he is one of my least favorite Titans... If we don't see him in the DCU I won't really mind.

@ELAYEM - Cyborg should be on the Titans not the Justice League.

@kider2 - Martian Manhunter. Dude doesn't get the respect he deserves. I really like Green Arrow too, but Manhunter is the better pick.

@kider2 - Strange suggestions but I'd honestly wanna see the Atom, Zatanna, Elongated Man, Red Tornado, or Hawkgirl as the 7th member. There more obscure members but as we all know, James Gunn thrives on obscure.

I’ve always felt this should be the first JL lineup. Other characters can come in the sequels, but this is the classic lineup.

(Green Lantern can be Kyle Rayner, Hal Jordan, or John Stewart, just please not Guy Gardner lol)

kider2 - 12/16/2022, 10:32 AM
@FilmGuy7878 - Yea but Elongated Man & Red Tornado have always been later additions. Zatanna is more of a JLD member these days. I wouldn't introduce Hawkgirl before Hawkman honestly. But yea The Atom could work Also.

FilmGuy7878 - 12/16/2022, 10:51 AM
@kider2 - True to all of that. Zatanna is one of my fav DC girls and I just wanna see her get some well-deserved spotlight. The Atom is severally underrated and he deserves some spotlight as well. I don't care if it's the Ray Palmer or Ryan Choi version but I sort of prefer Ray Palmer since he's the one I grew up knowing.

My Ray would be Josh Radnor and my Ryan would be Jimmy O. Yang.

@ELAYEM - Anyone but Guy lol. I always had a soft spot for Kyle. He's super underrated and in the comics, has some of the best Lantern constructs (he created a Gundam-style mech once and it was incredible).

@CorndogBurglar - I feel like green arrow isnt needed in the league when you already have batman serving the same purpose. Maybe if they have the league go awol somewhere down the line they could enlist an emergency b-team that comes in to be the jl. Green arrow could be on the b-team.
CorndogBurglar
CorndogBurglar - 12/16/2022, 1:59 PM
@CaptainFlapjaks - Honestly I would be fine without Green Arrow too. He wasn't ever a first stringer in my eyes anyway. I do like him though.
CorndogBurglar
CorndogBurglar - 12/16/2022, 2:00 PM
@CaptainFlapjaks - Also, there would undoubtedly be comparisons of Green Arrow and Hawkeye. People would definitely say DC is ripping off Hawkeye as if Green Arrow wasn't around first.

@ELAYEM - i have that exact poster framed and hanging up in my mancave above my TV. One of my favs

@MotherGooseUPus - Right on. I was in 9th grade in 2011 when that image first came out. I thought it was the coolest thing and had it as my computer background for the longest time.

Ended up being pretty disappointed by Geoff John’s JL New 52 run, but Jim Lee art is always beautiful.

@ELAYEM - I'm gonna take it as "the rest have somewhat iconic/recognizable symbols but Cyborg's is just a circle so we'll leave it off."
FilmGuy7878
FilmGuy7878 - 12/16/2022, 10:16 AM
It's just a hoodie...

Just sayin'.

Also there's really no reason to have a new logo. It's a D and a C wit a circle around it, that's it. It's simple.

It’s hard to believe that things got to this place, bad happenstance, after bad happenstance, bad decision after bad decision, bad movie, after bad movie, bad behavior, after bad behavior! can you imagine if Marvel’s story went that way? I mean before phase 4 haha, but just imagine everything going wrong to where they pass on AoU, much less the rest. On one side almost everything worked on the other side almost nothing worked. starting from scratch now. MCU, don’t get comfortable, get back to where you were, guys
mountainman
mountainman - 12/16/2022, 10:24 AM
@TheWalkingCuban - As someone who has been lukewarm on most of Phase 4, I’ll give them this experimental phase as a bye if they return to form. I haven’t seen BP2 yet, but that sounds like it’s better than most of the other post-Endgame movies. Ant-Man 3 and GOTG3 can redeem them if they are good. I’m a little concerned with the continued Disney+ content, but Secret Invasion might be a step up in quality.
