Recently-appointed DC Studios co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran have made it clear that they intend to reset Warner Bros.' shared world with what now looks to be a full reboot, and their out with the old, in with the new approach was always going to call for a revamped logo!
Writer Patrick Schumacker (Harley Quinn, Powerless, Abbott Elementary) shared a photo to social media to show off a Batman toy, and his hoodie gives us a first look at what appears to be the new DC Studios logo.
It's a fairly simple, "New 52" style design, with silhouettes of DC Comics heavy-hitters Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman, Green Lantern, The Flash and Aquaman standing either side of the DC Studios title sign. Some have speculated that it might be a mock-up, but Schumacker has since deleted his original post, so we're guessing it's the real deal!
Fortunately, the Flash Film News Twitter account nabbed it first, so you can check it out below.
With the recent news that Henry Cavill is out as Superman, we're guessing it's only a matter of time before James Gunn announces that Gal Gadot and the rest of the "Snyder-era" actors won't be returning as their respective characters. Whether that will include the likes of Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), John Cena (Peacemaker) and Zachary Levi (Shazam) remains to be seen, but we anticipate quite a bit of backlash if Gunn and Safran are perceived to be "playing favorites."
