This comic book adaption will be a dark look at the Pied Piper of Hamelin fable tale. The story of "The Piper" centers on a bullied high school band kid who by accident channelled the spirit of the mysterious Pied Piper through him and triggers terrifying consequences beyond even his own control.

Matthew Rhodes is heading the comic book movie project who's done many films including Richard Kelly's "Southland Tales." Also Dan Keston (Felon) will be producing too.

Zenescope's other well-known sinister edge titles are "Grimm Fairy Tales" and "The Straw Men."

Founders Joe Brusha and Ralph Tedesco of Zenescope Entertainment will also exec produce, along with Dave Brown of Sleeping Giant Entertainment.

"The piper", strange news cause I read this one. didn't think theyd make a movie on it. and the main character pisses me off too. He's such a hopeless sad miserable... totally unbelievable for how they draw him but whatever. The piper looks sweet and its a sweet take on a classic story. i guess it has potential as a movie, but most likely it will turn into a teen horror startle flick.

Just read the Piper :D. It's a good story from 'Grimm Fairy tales' but the main character realy is a bit of an asswhipe.
