AMC Reality Show Set in Kevin Smith's Comic Book Shop

According to IGN, and later confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter, AMC will be producing a new reality show from Kevin Smith set in his New Jersey comic book store, The Secret Stash.

In a Facebook posting, Smith said he wasn't looking for actors, but, instead, for real people living and breathing the comic book lifestyle. "Must be funny, outgoing and have a knowledge and passion for comics," wrote Smith, "superheroes, movie memorabilia and everything that goes with it."

Then he confirmed, in his own colorful way, that the network would be AMC.

If my wife would agree, I would move, quit my job, take my kid and live outside the shop just to be around Kevin Smith, not that I'd ever do that for real, but gosh, I'd love to be on that show, I mostly relate to Brody from Mallrats, and it seems to be what he is wanting for this show, VERY COOL!!!

Big fan of tell'em Steve Dave podcast and can't wait for this show... Walt Flannigan and Bryan Johnson are the stars of the podcast and will be the stars of the show... they are hilarious.

I know Smith isn't everyone's cup of tea (his humor is a little dick heavy at times) but the people this show will revolve around are store manager Walt Flanigan (of Cacaphony and Widening Gyre fame), Bryan Johnson(writer of Carney and War of the Undead), Bryan Quinn, Ming Chen, Mike, and Sunday Jeff. they do a weekly pocast from the Stash called "Tell em Steve-Dave" and trust me when I say it's the best show on Kev's network.

I'm all for it. I'm happy that it's on a channel that I don't have to search too hard for, on my cable. I know the general area of channels that it's on.

BIG fan of TESD! If the guys are actually gonna be featured in the show i'd love to see them do an ep where Walt and the guys go on a comic order delivery (and get stiffed) or go "old school" and do a Tri-city search for a chaser figure.

If I lived nearby there, I'd go be on that show.

I submitted a bio for this and actually got called back for an interview to be on the show, but I live in Michigan and decided against it (I would've had to get a day off work and pay for my own flight out there)
