Shaman gets his very own copy of the DVD, some other swag we have lying around the office, and the lint I collected from my belly button.

Stay tuned for our next contest which will be announced today. For those of you who want to get a jump on it, it'll be another fan art contest where we are asking for an original drawing of your favorite super hero engaged in... well... nothing heroic. We want to see what they do on their time off. Maybe something leisurely. We want an "INACTION" pose because, thanks to our friends at sumo lounge, we're giving away a $200 sumo sac. (Sorry, but because of the size of this prize, we are only able to mail it within the continental US and Canada.)

Here're some ideas...
1. Logan/Wolverine at his favorite bar drinking a beer.
2. Batman/Bruce Wayne playing video games on the batcave computer.
3. Spider-Man asleep in his Superman pajamas and sheets.
4. Wonderwoman putting on make-up.
5. Various super babes playing volleyball at the beach.
6. X-Men hot-tubbing.
7. A supervillain seminar at a convention of evil.
8. The Joker reading a joke book.
9. Various super villains playing poker.
10. Colossus polishing himself. (No rude comments!)
12. A teen mutant popping zits in the bathroom mirror.

You get the idea.

Shaman (n) - A member of certain tribal societies who acts as a medium between the visible world and an invisible spirit world and who practices magic or sorcery for purposes of healing, divination, and control over natural events - medicine man. :)
SirJediFrank
SirJediFrank - 4/1/2009, 7:55 AM
Maybe Logan means some kind of "actual" translation for "Shaman", maybe?

Shaman Thanks a lot for your comments about my entry at my fansite! Much appreciated.
let´s keep with the writing in the future contests.!

Oh Logan posted the definition before i posted my last comment. Hey Logan, but Shaman said at his fansite (in the comments section of his Black Freighter story) this:

"A few years back, i researched alot on spirituality to find my own path. When i became a Shaman, the more i delved into spirituality, the wiser i became. Knowing things for a FACT that i never learned or experienced in my life before."

SO, by your definition, it would be more like a "divination" instead of healing, oh what do i know?.
Anyway what is your source]?

LOL Sorry Loganoneil, for some reason, i thought you were refering to the MOVIE with Sean Connery LMFAO!!! "Shuck me Trebek, shuck it long, shuck it hard!!!" LMFAO!!!

Yes a "medicine man" IS a shaman of the old ways in certain tribes. However, depending on the region, celts for example had "druids" as medicine men (not women) where as celtic shamans actually had women among them. The druid was prone to "physical and natural medicine" where as the shamen dabled more into "spiritwork". I'm more along one of those lines but way more into the "new age". LOL

"Well, thank you for joining us at Shaman's corner and be sure not to miss next week's addition where we explore the vast world of canabis. To induce trance... or not to induce trance... that is the question we'll answer! I'm your host... well huh, shaman... asking you to help control the pet population; have your pet spayed or neutered. Thank you everybody good night!
