John Arturo - When did you start collecting and how did you get into the hobby?

Nathan Doom - I started collecting when I was in fourth grade. I started with just a few Minimates and Marvel Legends, but in the past couple of years I have been growing my collection much more.

John Arturo - Looks like your a Marvel Legends fan. What attracts you to those figures?

Nathan Doom - I love Marvel Legends because of the detail and articulation of each figure. I love Minimates because they remind me of Legos, which have a lot of nostalgic value to me. I like to see how each character is interpreted on the Minimates frame.

John Arturo - Do you collect anything else?

Nathan Doom - I have a pretty good collection of video games. I keep a lot of my old stuff as well. I like to think of my Dreamcast as a kind of badge of honor.

John Arturo - What is your favorite collectibles company?

Nathan Doom - I would have to say Diamond Select because of their ability to constantly produce all kinds of new Minimates.

John Arturo - What is your favorite part of collecting?

Nathan Doom - I definitely like the hunt. There is nothing like searching all over for a specific figure and then finally finding it hidden behind a bunch of copies of some figure no one wants.

John Arturo - What is the key thing you look for in an item you want to add to your collection?

Nathan Doom - I look for characters that can really add a wholeness to my collection. I cannot just have two of the fantastic four. I need all of them, plus Dr. Doom and the Silver Surfer. I make sure to get my favorite characters as well.

John Arturo - What is your favorite movie?

Nathan Doom - My favorite movie would have to be Gattaca. If you are asking comic book movie, it would be Spiderman because it is just a classic in my mind. It was the first comic book movie I saw in theaters, so it basically got me into a lot of the comic book universe.

John Arturo - What is your favorite piece from your collection?

Nathan Doom - My favorite piece is my 90s X-men Minimates as a whole. I love the X-men animated series, so to have the team is awesome to me.

John Arturo - What are some items you are most looking forward to adding to your collection?

Nathan Doom - There is a Hawkeye and Vision Minimates pack that is a bit older, but I look forward to paying too much for it online someday because they are two of my favorite characters.

John Arturo - Finally, what is your favorite aspect of ComicBookMovie.com?

Nathan Doom - I really enjoy being able to find out all the newest information on new movies that interest me. I also enjoy being able to read user comments on new developments to get an, often humorous, consensus about what people think.

Nice collection and nice way of displaying them Nathan. I really want that Nightcrawler in picture #8. I didn't even know you could hang DareDevil like that in picture #16. Looks bad ass.

Great collection! Wife and I just re-did the garage, and I'd like to post some pics soon! It's great to see people with similar interests and passion, and how they chose to express themselves.

@Genesis, don't have to knock somebody else's pride and joy in order to put yours over. The guy obviously worked hard on accumulating and displaying his collection, and was kind enough to invite people who could appreciate his efforts to view it. I'm sure we'd all love to see your collection as well, but no need to get into a d*** measuring contest over it.

@DrNathanalDoom....Just so you know my young collecting friend...those awesome comics that you have hanging on your wall...those covers will fade in the sun light in just a couple of years. I've been collecting for thirty years and any comics that I have displayed out in the open have always been a second copy just for that reason. Just a friendly FYI from one collector to another. The Duke.

@TheDukeofMadmen....The comics in the sunlight aren't originals, but I will definitely make sure to keep my real ones away from danger. Thanks for the tip!
