John Arturo - When did you start collecting and how did you get into the hobby?

TECHNODROME518 - I started to take my collecting a little more seriously around 17 or 18. But I've saved most of my childhood toys, so I guess I've been "collecting" since I was 7 or 8. I got into the hobby of collecting comic book stuff probably from my older brother and sister. In the early/mid 90's they were fans of The X-Men and Spider-man. Where as I was the youngest and liked TMNT and Batman. I would have to say they planted the seeds that would eventually grow into a love for anything Marvel. Thanks bro and sis!

John Arturo - Your collection seems to focus on Marvel. What draws you to Marvel over the other big company DC?

TECHNODROME518 - What draws me the most to Marvel is that I've been a lifelong fan of it. I tried to get into DC when I was younger, but I just felt that DC was for an older crowd, and it wasn't what I was looking for at that time. I've been a lifelong Batman fan, so in that aspect I was a DC fan before Marvel. I've always found the Marvel characters a lot more grounded and more entertaining to look at then the DC characters.

John Arturo - Do you collect anything else?

TECHNODROME518 - I have a large trading card collection of Spider-man, X-men, Batman, and NFL cards. I'm probably the only person out my group of friends that still buys CD's, and I own at least 1000 disc's of music. I collect video games, movies, and skateboarding magazines. I also collect coins. Yep, typical nerd :)

John Arturo - What are your favorite collectible companies?

TECHNODROME518 - I've always liked the old school companies like Hasbro, Kenner, Toy Biz, and Playmates. I know these are just standard toy companies, but that's what I like. If anyone has any other companies let me know.

John Arturo - What is your favorite part of collecting?

TECHNODROME518 - My favorite part about collecting is finding that one item that really satisfies your want. I try to collect "at a medium pace"(Hahaha I hope some of you got that line!) Meaning I don't go out to buy any toy. I'm usually looking for a specific character. I really enjoy that one moment where you walk in a toy aisle and you see that one you want and there's just a brief like Oooooooooo yayyyyy moment! It truly does bring you back to feeling like a kid without a care in the world, and where all you had sometimes were your toys.

John Arturo - What is the key thing you look for in an item you want to add to your collection?

TECHNODROME518 - One key thing is if I have the character yet. Recently I've been expanding my Marvel Universe and trying to get more characters outside the Spider-man and X-Men realm. I want 2 of each character. 1 in the box and 1 out, and it doesn't have to be the same toy. I'm getting more Iron Man, Thor, and Hulk figures.

John Arturo - What does your significant other think of your collection?

TECHNODROME518 - Well your not going to believe this, but I'm currently living the bachelor life ;)

John Arturo - What is your favorite movie?

TECHNODROME518 - Oh man...my favorite movie is...this is such a hard question for me. Hands down Dumb and Dumber. It's the movie I quote the most. And it's just too damn funny to me.

John Arturo - What is your favorite piece from your collection?

TECHNODROME518 - My favorite piece from my collection would have to be my signed copy of The Amazing Spider-man #239. It's signed by John Romita Jr. It's also the first time Spidey battled the Hobgoblin, one of my favorite villains.

John Arturo - What are some items you are most looking forward to adding to your collection?

TECHNODROME518 - I'm looking forward to the new waves of the Marvel Universe figures, the new Avengers, Dark Knight Rises, and Spider-man figures as well. If some new TMNT figures came through I would probably buy them. I'm trying to expand my collection of The Simpsons, and I'm trying to find a really cool Silver Surfer figure. He's one character that has eluded me for some time now.

John Arturo - Finally, what is your favorite aspect of ComicBookMovie.com?

TECHNODROME518 - My favorite aspect of CBM.com is the amount of information this website provides about the comic book movie world and just the comic book world in general. I come on this website everyday just to see if there's a new picture from a cbm set, or a new trailer like this weeks astonishing Avengers trailer! Seriously, we are very lucky to get the movies we are getting this year. I also enjoy the amount of work that's put into this website. It really shows, and I appreciate the effort done to make this the BEST cbm website. I have one request though...please add a turtle shell icon under the cbm index. TMNT deserves it's own spot! So with all this interesting stuff said. I bid good day to you all, leave charming comments like your collection is lame, and keep up the great work on ComicBookMovie.com

John Arturo - Anything else you would like people to know about your collection as well...

TECHNODROME518 - It's my collection and I'll buy if I want to.

As an FYI this week, I emailed out 4 different people with interview questions, but I only got a response back from one of them. Please respond to the emails if you want your collection featured. Thanks

Really nice colletion. Gave a few good ideas. Don't know if anyone else is having an issue with looking at the pics through the flicker. Just wondering if it is just me. I guess everyone can't find their Lois.

Awwwww Man! You got a ton of the cool old Toy Biz figures from the 90's! Damn the nostalgia! I missed out on a ton of the Marvel Legends figs from them, and Hasbro does not compare at all! I see you got Jim Lee's run on X-men, awesome! And Gambit #1 and the first appearance of Carnage! Sweet I have those as well.
Man, thanks, now I'm gonna go drop $200 bucks on some marvel legends from amazon! lol.

@teabag- thanks yo! the picture behind the lamp is of Tom Araya from Slayer.

@manymade1- Yes It's very 90's oriented collection. That's my shit!

@Equivocal- Very kinky! The pipe is a beast btw. It'll make you love comics all over again with each hit.

@Y- Nah Thing probably wouldn't, but I always thought if he had a NFL team, it would be the Packers. I had to represent my team on one character, and he had the biggest head :)

@TheGambitFreak- All in a days work my friend. I found those Gambit and Sabertooth comics very randomly in a Goodwill on vacation in Hawaii. Those books are a good read. Go crazy drop $300!

@VikingPatar- Oh I'm working on the Thor collection my friend. Glad I could bring back some childhood memories!

Yeah man, especially those Batman figures, I gotta start tracking some of those down. Good thing Emerald City Comic Con is this month!

@VikingPatar- Yeah Batman is another thing I need to work on. One of my biggest collection sorrows was selling all my Batman the animated series toys in a garage sale when I was going through my "it's time to grow up phase". I never grew up :)

@LOGANXX35- I'm sure a lot of people own most of the stuff I have. I'm a simpleton when it comes to collecting. Good luck finding Ice Man and the others. They are out there waiting to be rescued by you.
