CBM Small Print: The Wolverine, Harry Potter 7, Sherlock Holmes 2

A new round up of some smaller CBM/sci fi/Fantasy movie news that may be of interest. Hugh Jackman preps for The Wolverine, Sherlock Holmes 2 gets a new cast member, and Daniel Radcliffe lets us in on what to expect from the final Harry Potter movie..

First up, these new pics courtesy of TheCount show Hugh Jackman sporting the famous mutant mutton chops as he gets in shape for what is expected to be a February shoot on Darren Aronofsky's The Wolverine..

Next, Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes sequel has added a cast member in Gilles Lellouche. According to cinewebradio his part is unknown, but apparently whoever he is playing will not share scenes with Robert Downey Jr or Jude Law.

And finally, Daniel Radcliffe has told THR that Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 2 will contain a lot of action. This should come as no surprise, and will certainly make those that felt the last film lacked in that area happy..

“The last movie is going to be really, really fast-paced and a load of action in it, and it is like a war film. If we had done this book in one film, the stuff that would have got cut is most of this film.”

[Part 1 ]is so sedate compared to what the next one is going to be like. The next film, because you've had all the plot set up already, you can just kind of enjoy the insanity of all the action."

I think Fox should call Wolverine 2 = 'WOLVERINE: JAPAN'

... and Batman Rises should be called 'THE BATMAN' : P

For some reason... I can't comment anymore on this page lol?!? So I'll leave my comment here LOL...

ROR @ Yes you right .... WOLVERINE:JAPAN or SAMURAI is more awesome than THE WOLVERINE lol???

Still its just a title LOL... and what DP said 'WOLVERINE' will do! : p

Based on the comic, but how much is the question @ DP lol???

the film should be called "wolverine" same as the limited series its based on.

or "enter the wolverine" just like "enter the dragon".

as for sherlock holmes 2.

the first one sucked,so not intrested in this at all.

They should film Wolverine 3 at the same time. It can be Wolverine teaming up with Nikola Tesla in plot to steal Grover Cleveland's Presidential time machine.

The Wolverine is a good title. Its a statement. They are saying this will be THE definitive Wolverine movie. Any other play on words suggesting a sequel would have been met with just as much piss and wind from the fanboys anyway.

Hugh Jackman is the freakin' man, he is so cool to fans and has such a passion, the X movies might be subpar but all Wolverine fans should feel lucky to have someone to play Wolverine with such passion.

DOUGRAY SCOTT WAS CAST TO PLAY WOLVERINE FIRST BUT BECAUSE MISSION IMPOSSIBLE TWO OVERAN ITS FILMING AND A INJURY HE COULDN'T DO IT..

NOW 10 YEARS AND FOUR X-MEN FILMS LATER HUGH JACKMAN IS BOX OFFICE GOLD EARNING 20 MILLION FROM ORIGINS..

TELL YOU ONE THING, REGARDLESS OF THE HATE BLOGS AND DISSAPOINTMENT OF ORIGINS, YOU GOTTA ADMIT, THE GUY PUSHES TO PLEASE FANS AND FROM WHATS ALWAYS SAID, HE'S THE NICEST GUY IN HOLLYWOOD..THE JAPAN SERIES WILL SHOOSH THE HATERS.
scurvydog
scurvydog - 11/28/2010, 10:50 AM
The original choice for Wolverine was Dougray Scott. If I remember right,it was a combination of not being able to get out of his Mission:Impossible commitment and that he injured his shoulder while training...What might have been....

Somebody once said "we better get to see blood on claws this time," and I totally agree.

Nice pics, Ror. This guy already looks huge with rock hard muscles and veins popping up. A perfect comic book picture already! What's he doing prepping? What the hell for?

LOL!
