This looks interesting to me also. I just hope that they are not killing THOR for this event. I wonder if it could be another THOR corps type grouping.

Considering the way they've thrown in people who are or have at some time been a villain in the grand scheme of things, I'm going with all of them. Grey Gagoyle etc will be the worthy ones. My guess is this has something to do with Thor's biggest fear, which may be linked to him not being worthy to lift his own hammer any more and being surrounded by bad guys that do have that ability. Just a stab in the daark mind you, but I'm struggling to work out why they would have added in the villains otherwise. Plus, the villains that they have added have at some point all been enemies of Thor directly. Of course, I could end up being as accurate as a Stormtrooper, it is just a theory.

How confusing.
Hulk lifted Thor's hammer and attacked him with it while Captain America lifted it to... do something. People have lifted Thor's hammer. Obviously, these ain't Thor's hammer, but if the people who HAVE lifted his hammer are trying to lift this, I think it should be of no issue to lift it again. Strange story and I don't understand where they're trying to go with it. Eh. Yawn.

God I really don't care about fear itself. This is my first marvel event where I am not interested in reading it in the slightest.

Hulk has picked up Mjolnir before, just through strength alone.

If I'm not mistaken Cap is the only one other than THOR who has been capable of actually "weilding"it. Hulk has lifted it by sheer strength but wouldn't be able to carry it around and put it to use that way. I could be wrong. Oh and Superman in the JLA/Avengers crossover.

@samhell

Hulk has crushed Thor's hammer in the comics before so it must be the one and only Hulk.

Likes like my favorite Marvel character Thor is playing a very important role in the Fear saga. My choice of those more than likely worthy in the pics.....

1. Colossus.
2. Storm
3. None
4. Hercules
5. Iron Man

hulk lifted the ground beneath it, and was unable to wield it. The cartoon movie doesn't count... AT ALL.
Red Hulk was able to lift it because A) Thor still had a hold of it, B) Jeph Loeb is an idiot.

The hammer is not based on weight or strength, it is based on morality. To one who is worthy it is nearly weightless.

there must be limitations in comics to give things value. otherwise there is no drama built.

After reading some of the comments above, I couldn't resist registering.

The list of characters that have lifted Mjolnir are as follows. This is in Marvel's mainstream continuity, not Ultimate Marvel or animated Marvel.

Odin
Tiwaz (Thor's great grandfather)
Beta Ray Bill
Steve Rogers as The Captain
Eric Masteson (this is somewhat debatable since Thor was in the act of willing Mjolnir to return at the same moment. Nevertheless, Masterson's self-sacrifice allowed him to demonstrate his worthiness in a sense).
Bor (Thor's grandfather)

The Hulk has never lifted it in mainstream Marvel continuity, nor should he ever be able to. He's nowhere near the enchantment's/Odin's idea of "noble," and it doesn't matter how strong you are.

The Thing is unable as well. He recently tried just before the start of J. M. Straczysnki's "Thor" run.

I don't recall if Colossus ever tried, but if Ben Grimm isn't able, I doubt Colossus could do it.

In the Ultimates, the hammer that Ultimate Thor used in the first two series and the animated features, is NOT the true Mjolnir. It's a man-made high tech hammer that requires IMMENSE strength in order to lift it. Check out the recent Ultimate Thor mini-series to see its construction.

Oh yeah - none of those hammers belong to Thor or Beta Ray Bill, etc. They have been fashioned by the Norse God of Fear (the main villain in the story), and will be given to his followers, I believe.
