Synopsis
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is the first film in Columbia Pictures' three-picture adaptation of Stieg Larsson's literary blockbuster The Millennium Trilogy. Directed by David Fincher and starring Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara, the film is based on the first novel in the trilogy, which altogether have sold 50 million copies in 46 countries and become a worldwide phenomenon. The screenplay is by Steven Zaillian.

I know its another version, I watched all 3 (Fire, Hornet's Nest), that is why I said >these< movies. My problem is that they all came out on DVD not too long ago and instead of finding another good story to do America just copies something else that was successful elsewhere. I mean I am sure it will still be a great movie. I just don't want to watch the same exact story (with a few slight changes) I watched within a year.

P.S. I am also worried about Noomi Rapace's career getting hurt if the new version sucks and when people ask what movies she was in and they say Dragon Tattoo. Just taken into consideration because she is supposed to be in a few big movies soon. Like the Sherlock Holmes sequel and Prometheus, the "kinda a prequel, but not a prequel" to Alien(s).

wow, lot's of info man. thanks for all that. i honestly don't know anything about the story(dragon tattoo). so i guess i'll just find out when i watch the movie. i like the element of surprise. and i'm sure the new version is gonna be great. can't wait to see the Sherlock Holmes sequel. what's about Prometheus?
