Denise Richards & Jane Seymour Join Adi Shankar’s GODS AND SECRETS

The "Guardians of Justice" have gained a couple of hot new team members. Denise Richards and Jane Seymour will be joining the likes of Diamond Dallas Page, Jackson Rathbone, and Kellan Lutz in HBO's Watchmen-inspired superhero drama. More past the jump...

Yesterday we found out that producer Adi Shankar (Dredd, Punisher: Dirty Laundry) would team with Stewart Yost to co-direct a dark new superhero series for HBO titled Gods And Secrets, which is said to be (and very much sounds to be) inspired by Alan Moore's Watchmen. Now The Wrap reports that Denise Richards (Wild Things, Starship Troopers, The World Is Not Enough) and Jane Seymour (Live And Let Die, How I Met Your Mother, Battlestar Galactica) have joined the cast in unspecified roles.

Gods And Secrets will focus on the exploits of a superteam known as the "Guardians of Justice", and will explore "the darker ramifications of a world filled with superheroes — for the people they protect and the famous heroes themselves." Former WWE Superstar Diamond Dallas Page, Jackson Rathbone (The Twilight Saga), Kellan Lutz (The Legend Of Hercules), Sharni Vinson (You're Next) and Andy Milonakis will also star, but no character names have yet to be revealed.

Aww HBO wants to get in on the superhero cash cow, that's cute.

I'd rather see them tackle an actual Vertigo property than whatever this is.

Just seeing Andy Milonakis on this cast makes me wonder what this really is. I hope Dirt Nasty and Riff Raff make special appearances in the series finale "Gods and Secrets and Xanis and Bong Hits"

@PietroMaximoff

Let is see, if this is a "prequel" story of the world of Watchmen then this team of superheroes will be a version of the "Minutemen" the original team.

And i believe them we will have the following characters or at less the tv "versions" of this characters:

-Captain Metropolis

-The Comedian

-Hooded Justice

-Silhouette

-Nite Owl (original)

-Silk Spectre (original)

-Dollar Bill

-Mothman

If it wasn't HBO i'd be laughing my ass of... but, it is. Usually means a certain standard of quality anyway.

I'm surprised they didn't just reboot / adapt Alan Moore's book into this series considering Time Warner owns Watchmen and HBO.

I'd love to see them modernize Watchmen with Minutemen being in the 60s and the Middle East instead of Vietnam. Have Bush still be President.

Jane Seymour was hot back in her Bond-girl days.

Denise Richards only semi-fap-worthy in the '90s.

Sure.

A 100% yes to Sharni Vinson,
I even like Jackson Rathbone and well, Kellab Lutz does look like a God.

But who the hell is casting this?
I liked Denise on the ABC Family drama Twisted but thats about the extent as to where her acting range it - soap style drama - not gritty dystopian drama.

And Jane Seymour is wonderful, beautiful but is mostly relegated to TV movies. I can't see her in this environment, perhaps if she plays a Angela Petrelli role from Heroes perhaps?

I dunno, I'm cautiously optimistic

This will clearly be "passed on" by HBO.

What the hell kind of cast is that? 99% of wrestlers turned actors are garbage, so that alone should warn people to stay away! (I make an exception for The Rock...I can't recall any other wrestler that has been decent).
Rathbone is horrible! If anyone has seen Twilight or that Airbender movie, its obvious.
Lutz...well, I think Lutz seems like a nice guy but his muscles and the bad scripting he's gotten haven't done him any justice in the role-getting department.
Seymour is a has-been, but at least she has some decent credits.
Denise Richards was sexy at one time, but she's looking a little weird these days. Maybe I'll just watch Wild Things. :)
Isn't Any Melatoninakis that annoying fat kid that played jokes on people? I could be wrong, but if I'm right....well, he's annoying as balls slapping on your forehead. Not that I'd know.
