Anyways, I always kinda figured that Superman, Nightcrawler and Captain America were Christian...didn't know Spidey was too... I knew Daredevil was Catholic, didn't know Batman and Hulk were too. Obviously Thor is of the Norse religion, or actually Thor is the religion...

I always thought Spider-Man was Jewish for some reason. Perhaps not a practicing one, but I still thought he may have been Jewish.

I think the best religious superheroes though are Daredevil and Punisher (in terms of religion being part of their story) as they both rely quite heavily on their Catholicism, with each character representing a different type of Catholic; Daredevil being a practicing Catholic and also the more moral of the two (most of the time), and Punisher being a lapsed-Catholic who, due to his crisis-of-faith, is willing to take matters into his own hands and play God (in life or death terms) because he thinks God isn't doing a very good job, and he's far more morally ambiguous.

@ManOfSuperguy

Its the Methodist in Superman which brings out his inner goodness and tames his Kryptonian arrogance.
