First Official Images From Brad Bird's TOMORROWLAND

Thanks to Entertainment Weekly we have our first looks at Britt Robertson as Casey Newton, and Gerge Clooney as Frank Walker, as well as some concept art of the mysterious Tomorrowland itself. Plus, a few more plot details: "What Hogwarts is to magic, Tomorrowland is to science: They are both easy to find if you are a wizard and very difficult to find if you’re a Muggle,” co-writer Damon Lindelof tells the site. “Walt Disney is not a character in our movie, but he is referenced as having some involvement in this mysterious place called Tomorrowland, as a huge futurist and aficionado of space travel, rocketry, cities of the future, and space travel.” It turns out Miss Newton takes an interest in the place and sets out to fidn it with the help of failed inventor, Frank Walker.

Bound by a shared destiny, a bright, optimistic teen bursting with scientific curiosity and a former boy-genius inventor jaded by disillusionment embark on a danger-filled mission to unearth the secrets of an enigmatic place somewhere in time and space that exists in their collective memory as “Tomorrowland.” Bird has gathered a great team behind the lens with Oscar® winning director of photography Claudio Miranda (“Life of Pi,” “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”), production designer Scott Chambliss (“Star Trek,” “Star Trek Into Darkness,” “Cowboys & Aliens”), Oscar® nominated costume designer Jeffrey Kurland (“Inception,” “Ocean’s Eleven”) and Academy Award®-winning editor Walter Murch (“The English Patient,” “Cold Mountain”).

Tomorrowland will be released through Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures on December 12, 2014.

I've been waiting for this movie for so long. Wish it kept its 2014 release date. This and Interstellar would've been 2014's best sci fi films.

Those images look good. Britt Robertson l believe is going to do awesome in the movie.

On another note I see RorMachine changed his avatar. Hopefully it wasn't that long ago or I haven't been that observant.

Damon Lindleoff should not be saying ANYTHING about Science and Magic in the same phrase. In his mind they are both the same thing ...or at the very least when he can't figure out science, he just says it was magic all along. I cannot wait for the scene when they realize that Tommorrowland was powered by the hopes and dreams of children around the world that is in a light cave underneath the city.

With that said, I like Brad Bird and actually worked at Tomorrowland in Disneyland so this should be a fun lighthearted romp.
