First Poster And Images From The Upcoming DREDD Miniseries

Recently we learned that ol' Stoney Face would live on in a sequel, of sorts, to Pete Travis' Dredd: an animated online miniseries from producer Adi Shankar based on the "Dark Judges" comic arc. See the poster and some images for Superfiend after the jump.

While we all wait and see if anything will come of the chatter surrounding a sequel to Dredd (Spoiler: it probably won't), producer Adi Shankar has a treat for the legions of fans that have stood behind the film, even as it failed to set the box office on fire. Shankar, who also brought us the Punisher: Dirty Laundry and Venom: Truth in Journalism shorts, has secretly been working on a seven-part animated miniseries focusing on the Dark Judges, that will be available to watch online for free later this month. Entertainment Weekly have provided our first look in the form of a poster and some images.

Love DREDD.
Is this animated stuff supposed to comedic?
The look is funny, would be odd if it's serious in tone.

Dredd deserves a sequal. Karl Urban killed it as Dredd. and far better than the Stalone Dredd movie!.

and now I just realized I want to see Karl Urban as Nova Prime in GOTG 2!

Dredd 2 needs to happen. Karl Urban simply nailed it on his performance.

Urban is an actor who is greatly talented and yet completely underrated. He deserves more leading roles.

Back when Batman v. Superman was first announced, Karl Urban was one of my top choices for Batman. If WB were to reboot the franchise again they need to seriously consider him for the role.

I adored the new Dredd movie and Karl Urban was excellent in the titular role, and as much I would love to see a sequel to the movie, this looks crappy (I know Im basing myself on two screencaps and a poster but come on, just the poster gives it a comedic tone) but I'll pass on this one.

Dredd deserved a better box office haul. It was gritty CBM done right.
