Garth Ennis Writing and Directing Webisodes and Feature Film Based on His Avatar Comic CROSSED

In CROSSED, a plague that forces its victims to give in to their most evil thoughts has ravaged the population. A decade after the outbreak starts, a handful of survivors must face off with a small group of infected - called the crossed - that somehow have still retained a degree of self-control.

Garth Ennis will soon be trying his hand at directing for the first time, but the writer of some of comics' most violent, outrageous - and yet often still emotionally resonant - stories is looking to start off small with a series of live-action CROSSED webisodes. Shortly after that, the plan is to follow those with the CROSSED feature film.

Ennis also tackles the writing duties on the project, penning both the scripts for the webisodes (which he described as "little vignettes" that would give insight into the world of the story) and the films' screenplay.

Filming is set to start in Spring, for a late 2013 release.

Well, first time he directed was the short film version of "Stitched" that he did (Which premiered the last Comic Con in 2011), but if HE'S directing both webisodes AND a feature length film version of Crossed, we're in for some insane sh*t. Kinda thought Tom Six would end up directing it. XD

The article I sourced from said this was his directing debut, but I suppose they just meant "film directing debut." I never heard about STITCHED, I have to hunt that down. Thanks for the info!
