Music is something we all love right? So without further introduction, this is my list for the top 4 scores in comic book films. Oh and am sorry if the list is not really mainstream, I `tried` to avoid some of the really popular ones.

HONORABLE MENTION

X-MEN FIRST CLASS (2011) - MAGNETO - HENRY JACKMAN

NUMBER 4

DARKMAN (1990) - THEME - DANNY ELFMAN

A great classic not a lot remember, direct by Sam Raimi. Darkman was a very beautifuly made film and had an amazing theme to go along with it. Funny thing is that Danny Elfman composed the theme for Tim Burton's Batman a year before, and you can definitely hear minor traces of it in here.

NUMBER 3

UNBREAKABLE (2000) - THE ORANGE MAN - JAMES NEWTON HOWARD

Arguably one of M. Night Shyamalan`s best (only good) film which sells itself as a thriller about a man discovering something extraordinary about himself after an accident. This is very much in a way a comic book film as there are many themes and overtones within the film displaying it is really. A great score to that.

NUMBER 2

SPIDER-MAN (2002) - MAIN THEME - DANNY ELFMAN

Believe me when I say this, I really tried to avoid any type of mainstream theme people already know about or that is already critically famous (Superman Theme for Example) but this was really hard not to pass up. It`s amazing as it is and beautiful as it always will remain. No other Spider-Man film can replace this theme, no other Spider-Man will be better.

NUMBER 1

THE PUNISHER (2004) - THE SKULL - CARLO SILIOTTO

A film that is argued by fans even today with major debates over surrounding how good or bad it was. But there is one thing you can`t deny about the film altogether, it had an amazing theme. Carlo Siliotto`s name hasn`t been shown within other comic book films for music because this is the only comic book film he has scored. Mainly looking at his IMDB page he composes a lot of international films which in this case is very rare. Anyways my opinions on this film personally, I loved it. Thomas Jane really made the film and I don`t think it would have worked without him. The pure emotion and sadness of this film really displayed The Punisher`s struggle. And this theme just fit it perfectly.

Very good list, I hadn't heard Darkman theme before. I also think that Punisher theme is underrated.

Oh man, that "Orange Man" theme from Unbreakable is incredible. It's very atmospheric, then hits you out nowhere with a rousing segment toward the end! Good article Jacky!
