Joseph Gordon-Levitt Tweets About SANDMAN News; Hints At Plot

The actor took to Twitter to confirm that he is indeed involved with both David Goyer and Neil Gaiman on a big-screen Sandman movie. He also gave a brief, but interesting hint that is sure to please fans of the excellent Vertigo comic.

The below Tweets may not signify that much to those unfamiliar with Neil Gaiman's Sandman series, but fans will know that the inclusion of the word "prelude" likely refers to the first story arc, which is known as Preludes And Nocturnes. Why is that good news? Well as you can see from Gordon-Levitt's second Tweet, it suggests that he, Goyer and co. are not planing on trying to condense Gaiman's 85 issue run, or cherry pick from it for one single movie - rather they are using those first 8 issues as a starting point. Of course that's a lot to assume from a one word hint..but I'd say it's a good sign at least. The TDKR actor also acknowledges the ambiguous nature of Morpheus - hopefully a sign that there won't be an attempt to turn the character into a clear-cut hero.
