lol i like how Iron Man in "Ultimate Spider-Man" always end up looking like 616 Iron Man yet in every other title he's the ultimate version

As much as I wish Marvel would clean the slate of the sludge the character has built up over the years, "the death of..." storylines are beginning to feel cliche ever since Superman popularized that "act" - now it feels as if they gotta do it to every other major character to either shake things up story-wise and in market value. I hope killing someone and bringing them back won't be the new retcon hook for most of the characters I like. Don't get me wrong, I love reading Spider-Man and what's happening to him now is just another milestone in his long-written chapter.

Only time will tell when this "death of..." and then "rebirth" trend will become stale as yesterday's ale. They started with killing Barry Allen, then sensationalized it when they killed Superman, then "killed" Clark Kent metaphorically, then killed Hal Jordan, Captain America, Batman, etc.... then brought most of them back see? trend.

The covers look really cool but I hate the vision of Iron Man and Thor. WTF, that is why i won't read ultimates! Thor looks like he is in his 50's and Iron Man looks like a gay gundam!
