The latest "superhero" film to receive the remake treatment comes from Chile, which was released last year by the name of "MirageMan." Not only will the film make its way to American theaters in the not-too-distant future but the remake will be titled "Defender 3D." Yes...the 3D at the end of the title means the film will follow suit with the recent Hollywood trend of the third dimension.

During this year’s annual film festival in Texas known as "Fantastic Fest," producers of the film announced the news. For those who would like to view the original film, the US DVD release occurs on October 6th, 2009.

"MirageMan" is an action-packed film that stars Latino martial artist and stuntman Mark Zaror as a power-less fighter who dawns a ski mask with weird goggles to keep the streets safe.
