No CW Smallville Replacement From DC Comics This Fall?

Deadline reports all pilots for the fall have been picked, and none of them are from DC Comics...

For a long time, people have wondered what DC Comics project would replace Smallville when it ended. A while ago, people wondered would it be a Smallville spin-off like Green Arrow or The Daily Planet? Then The Graysons was considered. Then there was talk of Blue Beetle or Sandman. Finally, CW started to develop a Raven series based on the New Teen Titans character. Maybe it could still appear as a mid-season replacement or a fall series for 2012, but CW has picked these pilots for this fall, and Raven isn't one of them. From Deadline:

"The CW has picked up its sixth and final pilot this season, the witch tale Secret Circle executive produced by Vampire Diaries co-creator/exec producer Kevin Williamson."

And..

"Secret Circle joins the 5 pilots previously picked up by the CW: Danni Lowinski, Awakening, Hart of Dixie, Heavenly and Cooper and Stone. The network's choices include 2 genre shows, Secret Circle and zombie drama Awakening, one medical drama, Hart of Dixie, one cop show, Cooper and Stone, and one legal drama with supernatural elements, Heavenly."

The DC Comics/CW relationship is over for now, or so it seems.

For CW's sake they should not give up on the genre based show half the stuff they make is canceled after two seasons something like Smallville and also Supernatural are the only things that lasted.

Good thing kinda. I like Smallville, replacing Smallville with Raven is a waste to me. Bring on a Nightwing TV series called Bludhaven or Batman when the movie series is done. Something more interesting than Raven

@Marvel72
I am gonna assume your Deadpool72 since the comments from him have pretty much been replaced with yours haha

dissapointing. WB basically has there own network to showcase whatever they want from there vast archive. despite this fact they have nothing to show for it. inexcusable if you ask me.

aquaman@ that annoys the crap out of me too. its like in college football when people say the SEC conference, or the ACC conference. bugs me to no end. :)

@Aguaman,

Technically you're right, but that is the company's offical name. Probably best not to think too hard about it :-)

Shame, hate or love Smallville - without it sci-fi/superhero telly is pretty bleak. The Cape has been/will be cancelled. No Ordinary Family is rubbish. Warehouse 13 and Ereka are too light hearted, they are softer than even the softest episode of Stargate.

Smallville was far from perfect, but it filled a hole.

CW maybe getting out of the game but NBC appears to be picking up the Wonder Woman pilot. All the descriptions I've seen of it so far have been disappointing, so I doubt it will last very long. Who knows? It seems that every few years, some network comes up with a superhero show that is well done enough to last a few seasons.

CW and Smallville sucks. I think it's for the best since they don't understand the comics.

Whether you love or hate Smallville being good or bad it has nothing what so ever to do with the CW Netork.

I wish the Wonder Woman series was replacing Smallville. That show has no chance on NBC.

No Ordinary Family is a good show.

If the CW had any Brains at all we would have a Nightwing series they can give us Birds of prey but not Nightwing?
