Earlier this month, you might have spied that tease of a poster for the Farrelly brothers' big-screen re-creation of The Three Stooges that opens April 4. It featured Curly (Will Sasso), Larry (Sean Hayes) and Moe (Chris Diamantopoulos) striking a pose in silhouette with the words, "Just Say Moe."
But this just-released reveal of the photo behind the poster not only features more Moe (in the middle most soitenly!) but also a full view of Curly (left) and Larry. Save for a few paparazzi shots that sneaked out while the movie was shot this past summer in Atlanta, this is the first official look at the guys in full Stooge regalia.
The comedy is not a biopic but instead is shot in three segments in the style of their film shorts from the '30s and '40s and places the trio in contemporary times as they struggle to save the orphanage where they were raised. The Farrellys, known for R-rated ribaldry, have vowed to keep the humor at a PG level. But with Larry David as a vindictive nun, an appearance by the kids of The Jersey Shore and even that hunky Old Spice guy in the cast, the slapstick should still run amok.
