Persepolis Returns to Theatres in April Dubbed in English

April 11 will mark the return for 'Persepolis' to theatres, based on the Comic Book Autobiography by Marjane Satrapi the French language film will be dubbed in English.

Sony Pictures Classics has announced the English-language version of "Persepolis" will be released on April 11 on 100 screens nationwide.

"Persepolis" follows the life of a girl growing up in Iran during the Islamic Revolution the film was co-written and co-directed by Marjane Satrapi and Vincent Paronnaud.

The English version will feature the voice talents of Chiara Mastroianni as Marjane; Sean Penn as Marjane's father, Ebi; Catherine Deneuve as Marjane's mother, Tadji; Gena Rowlands as Marjane's grandmother; Iggy Pop as Uncle Anouche; and Amethyste Frezignac as young Marjane.
