It's a modern day fairy tale in which the long-standing peace between men and giants is threatened, as a young farmer leads an expedition into the giants' kingdom in hopes of rescuing a kidnapped princess. Director Bryan Singer is planning to begin filming Jack The Giant Killer this March in London from a script written by Mark Bomback, Darren Lemke and Christopher McQuarrie.
Nicholas Hoult (X-Men: First Class) is playing the film's lead role, the peasant boy Jack who the adventure revolves around; Eleanor Tomlinson (Alice in Wonderland) is set to play a Princess and Jack's love interest. Stanley Tucci (Captain America) is set to play the film's main villain, Roderick; an adviser to the king who has plans to take over Cloister.
Bill Nighy (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest) will portray the leader of the giants, Fallon. The giant Fallon will have two heads, with one being Nighy and the other John Kassir. Ian McShane (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides) will portray King Brahmwell, who is none too thrilled about a union between his daughter the Princess and farmer boy Jack.
