The comic book movie genre is not generally something that lends itself to too many R rated (usually the equivalent to as "18" in the UK) movies, since so many comic books are aimed at a general audience. Plus, even when a certain character, or characters, would benefit from a more adult orientated movie, studios are hesitant to go down that road because of the risk that comes along with dispensing with that all important kiddie dollar a CBM will usually rake in. But sometime it's just unavoidable, and thankfully over the years a few studios/directors have had the guts to go all out and produce some great rated R cinema. Of course, they haven't always been so great either! Below we have a list of most (I didn't include every one, if you were planning on voting for
