Red Band "For Your Consideration" Trailer For BLUE IS THE WARMEST COLOR

A new trailer for the acclaimed French drama has been released, focusing on the remarkable performance of Adèle Exarchopoulos (Adèle). Be warned though, there are some very explicit images of...people kissing. Check it out after the jump.

Acclaimed French filmmaker Abdellatif Kechiche’s latest, based on Julie Maroh’s graphic novel, was the sensation of this year’s Cannes Film Festival even before it was awarded the Palme d’Or. Adèle Exarchopoulos is a young woman whose longings and ecstasies and losses are charted across a span of several years. Léa Seydoux (Midnight in Paris) is the older woman who excites her desire and becomes the love of her life. Kechiche’s movie is, like the films of John Cassavetes, an epic of emotional transformation that pulses with gestures, embraces, furtive exchanges, and arias of joy and devastation. It is a profoundly moving hymn to both love and life.

This is the first film adapted from either a graphic novel or a comic to win the Palme d'Or.

This movie is just beautiful! Great, great film. I think it's a little unfair to call it "best of the year" because I've seen a few other great movies this year, but it's safe to say that Blue is the Warmest Color was the most touching movie of 2013 to me. And no, I'm not talking about the sex scenes, you dirty little nerds.

And just for those who don't know, this movie is based on a graphic novel, so it IS a comic book movie. You know, comics are not just about costumed vigilantes and sci-fi action.

The Academy has NO choice. Not giving the Oscar to Adèle Exarchopoulous is nonsense. She HAS to win. We had some great performances (main characters) this year, but Adèle is a whole other level of brilliance.

Not really a sci-fi, fantasy or comic book movie topic. Just forced in to provoke someone into an anti-gay comment and/or silly adolescent commentary.

I watched this, and for some reason all I can remember about it is the 8 minute long real lesbian sex scene.
@Shadowmaster35 You do realize this IS a comic book movie, right?

Maybe do a little research before bitching and you won't look like such a dipshit, just sayin'.

@riseofloganX36 I didn't realize that characters having super powers was a prerequisite for a comic Book?
