The first trailer for Marvel's The Avengers 3D broke iTunes records after being watched 10 million times. It was then revealed last week that The Dark Knight Rises had snatched that record from Earth's Mightiest Heroes after being viewed a whopping 12.5 million views in its first 24 hours. When we asked which of the trailers you thought was better, over 3200 of you cast your vote and it ended up being a very close contest indeed. It was The Avengers who triumphed (just!) in this particular battle.

Definitely gotta agree with the results. The TDKR trailer was epic, but better than the Avengers trailer? Hardly a contest.

IMDb's most searched movie right now is the dark knight rises. Avengers isn't even in the top 20. Now that I have that off of my chest, looking forward to both. But TDKR has me pumped.

Yeah, The Avengers trailer felt very Micheal Bay-ish. Cool explosions, but kinda cheesy. I'll still go see it, but not expecting much.

TDKR looks like it's going to have an epic conclusion. Everything I've seen I really like. And I'm pretty sure it'll be the better film, IMO.

I personally side with TDKR because Marvel Studios is growing a crappy reputation when it comes to dealing with directors and actors.

So far they've burned their bridges with Edward Norton, Terrence Howard, Jon Favreau, Patty Jenkins, and (to a certain extent) Mickey Rourke.

I think DKR will be a good movie but there is no way I can get excited about it like I am for Avengers. Bring on the fun team movie.

Suck it Nolanites! The better trailer for the superior movie wins!! Nolanites aren't really FANS of Nolan's films as much as apologists and excuse makers! They don't seem to understand that anyone off the street could make the movies he makes! They're not as crisp and intelligent as everyone gives them credit for. TRUTH! Do I enjoy them? Yes I do! Do I LOATHE certain aspects of them such as Bale's crappy voice, and the ridiculous turn this series has taken for its finale? Yes! Will I still see and enjoy it? Yes! Will I suck Nolan's dick, and pretend he's the greatest thing to happen to movies since celluloid? [frick] No! Ok someone please remove my soapbox...I need a drink!

The general public doesn't give a shit about the avengenerds, only whiny little fanboys. Look at the trailer numbers if you don't believe me, or the IMDB most searched.
