Ryan Reynolds and Chris Hemsworth working hard to be Heroic

Do these recent pictures justify any indication of Ryan and Chris's dedication in becoming the superheroes they will become?

I happened to stumble across some recent photos of both Hal Jordan and Thor Odinson. Looking at these photos just made me think whether the two upcoming leading men of Hollywood will in fact look like their comic book counterparts.

First off is a guy iconic of ridiculous comical or humorous characters such as Van Wilder, Hannibal King, or Deadpool. What I mean by ridiculous is obviously a good thing. The dude is hilarious. Though most people do not realize how versatile this guy really is. He has been in dark theme drama films such as The Nine or serious violent films like Smoking Aces. Here is a list of his diverse roles.

Blade: Trinity Hannibal King
School of Life Michael "Mr. D" D'Angelo
The Amityville Horror George Lutz
Waiting... Monty
Just Friends Chris Brander
Smokin' Aces Richard Messner
The Nines Gary/Gavin/Gabriel
Chaos Theory Frank Allen
Definitely, Maybe Will Hayes
Fireflies in the Garden Michael Taylor
Adventureland Mike Connell
Men Origins: Wolverine Wade Wilson / Deadpool
The Proposal Andrew Paxton
Paper Man Captain Excellent
Green Lantern Hal Jordan / Green Lantern
Deadpool Wade Wilson / Deadpool
Buried

Ryan has had some impressive roles that won him awards such as Sundance Film Festival.
He may not be the closest in appearance with Hal Jordan and may have only been recognized as the funny guy, but let's face it, the only reason why he is known as the funny guy is due to the fact that his comedic roles are widely publicized by the media, more than his small and some major emotional roles that we do not even know about since we are busy watching Transformers or some other epic hopefuls that result in failure. Furthermore, Hal Jordan is an arrogant pilot and has a few jokes to his charm for Carol Ferris, so it is safe to say that Ryan can implement some of his experiences in funny one-liners though not as much as Hannibal King or Van Wilder of coarse.

I believe in time as Ryan consistently works hard both physically and mentally, we will have a true Hal Jordan.

Here are photos of Ryan doing errands in West Hollywood today:

It looks like he has been staying in shape for the role considering filming on Green Lantern to begin in March. His hair seems to be longer than previous years and he is beginning to appear more like Hal. When the time comes to say "lights, camera, action!" I'm confident that we will be surprised by Ryan's performance.

Onto someone who has not been familiarized in Hollywood yet considering he is Australian, just like Sam Worthington. He does not carry the same film status as Ryan, but his role in Star Trek was pretty damn heroic (morally) if you know what I mean not just beating the crap out of some bad guy or defusing a bomb. His performance in Star Trek was one of the best from the film and he seems to fit Thor's demeanor in a sense. Thor was also an arrogant God who needed to be taught some humility and qualities that make up a true hero. Hal Jordan was an arrogant man who is offered the opportunity in being a real man and hero.

Anyway, here is a list of Chris's works:

Star Trek George Kirk
A Perfect Getaway Kale
Ca$h (Cash)Sam Phelan
Red Dawn Jed Eckert
The Cabin in the Woods Curt
Thor Thor
The Avengers Thor

If you notice, Chris's agenda is much less comedic compared to Ryan's, but then again Thor is not a God/man to be joking around with.

Here is a photo of Chris in Perfect Getaway that shows his relation in appearance with Thor:

After all the months since his casting announcement and now filming, just imagine how huge this guy is now.

I just wanted to share my thoughts on how these films are shaping up to be casting wise and I can say that it's perfect casting.

That picture of Hemsworth is not that recent. And that's not really very big either.
